AI–Guided 4D Printing of Carnivorous Plants–Inspired Microneedles for Accelerated Wound Healing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This work presents an artificial intelligence (AI)‐guided 4D‐printed microneedle platform inspired by carnivorous plants for wound healing. A thermo‐responsive shape memory polymer enables body temperature–triggered self‐coiling for autonomous wound closure.

A Glimpse of Satellite Galaxies in the Milky Way with the 2.5 m Wide Field Survey Telescope (WFST): Boötes III and Draco

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
We carry out deep imaging of the Milky Way satellite galaxies, Boötes III and Draco, with the Wide Field Survey Telescope (WFST) as one pilot observing program to demonstrate the capability of WFST. Combining catalogs with PS1 DR2 and Gaia DR3, we derive

Kinematic and extinction analysis of a potential spiral arm beyond the Galactic bar

open access: yesAstronomy & Astrophysics
Context. Determining the structure of the Milky Way is essential for understanding its morphology, dynamics, and evolution. However, studying its innermost regions is challenging due to high extinction and crowding.

Recent Progress in the Phase‐Controlled Synthesis of Ruthenium Nanocrystals for Catalytic Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Template effect and kinetic control enable crystal‐phase engineering of Ru nanocrystals, granting access to either metastable fcc‐Ru or stable hcp‐Ru with distinct surface structures, thermal stabilities, and catalytic behaviors. Moreover, the hcp‐Ru can further serve as an epitaxial template to direct Pd and Rh nanocrystals into the metastable hcp ...

Kinematics of young stellar objects in NGC 2024 based on infrared proper motions

open access: yesAstronomy & Astrophysics
The most recently formed young stellar objects (YSOs) in active star-forming regions are excellent tracers of their parent cloud motion. Their positions and dynamics provide insights into cluster formation and constrain kinematic decoupling timescales ...

Large‐Scale Determination of Frontier Orbital Energies of Disordered Small‐Molecule Organic Semiconductors Using Exciplex Emission Spectra

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Accurately knowing the frontier orbital energies of the structurally disordered small‐molecule organic semiconductors that are used in optoelectronic devices such as organic light‐emitting diodes is required to rationally improve their performance. Here, we show that these energies can be deduced with a large accuracy from the peak energies of

Unveiling the 3D structure of the central molecular zone from stellar kinematics and photometry: The 50 and 20 km/s clouds

open access: yesAstronomy & Astrophysics
Context. The central molecular zone (CMZ), surrounding the Galactic centre, is the largest reservoir of dense molecular gas in the Galaxy. Despite its relative proximity, the 3D structure of the CMZ remains poorly constrained, primarily due to projection

Can proper motions of dark-matter subhalos be detected? [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
One of the goals of NASA's Fermi Gamma-ray Space Telescope (formerly GLAST) will be the detection of gamma rays from dark-matter annihilation in the Galactic halo.
