Regge trajectories for the heavy-light diquarks

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2023
We attempt to apply the Regge trajectory approach to the heavy-light diquarks composed of one heavy quark and one light quark. However, we find that the direct application of the usual Regge trajectory formula for the heavy-light mesons and baryons fails.

χ c1(2p): an overshadowed charmoniumlike resonance

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2023
A thorough study of the J PC = 1++ elastic D 0 D ¯ ∗ 0 $$ {D}^0{\overline{D}}^{\ast 0} $$ and D + D ∗− scattering, where the form of the meson-meson interaction is inferred from lattice QCD calculations of string breaking, is carried out for center-of ...

Heavy-quark spin symmetry breaking in the Born-Oppenheimer approximation

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2023
Heavy-quark spin symmetry is explicitly broken by the mass splitting between a heavy-light pseudoscalar meson and its vector partner. This fact plays a pivotal role in the physics of states whose mass lies close to the threshold of an open-flavor meson ...

NLO corrections to the deeply virtual meson production revisited: impact on the extraction of generalized parton distributions

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2023
We revisit the next-to-leading order (NLO) perturbative QCD corrections for the deeply virtual meson production (DVMP) process, exploring its phenomenology both in isolation and in a multichannel fit combined with deeply virtual Compton scattering (DVCS).

Electromagnetic and gravitational local spatial densities for spin-1 systems

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2023
The matrix elements of the electromagnetic current and the energy-momentum tensor for sharply localized states of spin-1 systems are considered. Their interpretation as local spatial densities of various characteristics of the considered system is ...

The mass spectrum and wave functions of the B c system

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2022
The spectrum and relativistic wave functions of B c system are investigated via solving the complete Salpeter equation. Emphases are put on the study of the partial waves of each J P state.

Probing proton structure with c c ¯ $$ \textrm{c}\overline{\textrm{c}} $$ correlations in ultraperipheral pA collisions

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2023
We study the exclusive diffractive c c ¯ $$ c\overline{c} $$ photoproduction in ultraperipheral pA collisions. The formalism makes use of off-diagonal generalizations of the unintegrated gluon distribution, the so-called generalized transverse momentum ...

Generalized parton distributions through universal moment parameterization: zero skewness case

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2022
We present a global analysis program for the generalized parton distributions (GPDs) based on conformal moment expansion. We apply the strategy of universal moment parameterization to fit both the collinear parton distribution functions (PDFs) from ...

On sum rules for double and triple parton distribution functions and Pythia’s model of multiple parton interactions

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2023
Multi-parton distributions in a proton, the nonperturbative quantities needed to make predictions for multiple scattering rates, are poorly constrained from theory and data and must be modelled.

Fitting a deep generative hadronization model

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2023
Hadronization is a critical step in the simulation of high-energy particle and nuclear physics experiments. As there is no first principles understanding of this process, physically-inspired hadronization models have a large number of parameters that are
