Circular RNA expression landscapes in myelodysplastic neoplasms: Associations with mutational signatures and disease progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In this explorative study, the abundance of circular RNA molecules in bone marrow stem cells was found to be elevated in patients with high‐risk myelodysplastic neoplasms, and to be associated with an increased risk of progression to acute myeloid leukemia.

A Proportional Hazards Regression Model for the Sub-distribution with Covariates Adjusted Censoring Weight for Competing Risks Data

open access: yesScandinavian journal of statistics, theory and applications, 2015
With competing risks data, one often needs to assess the treatment and covariate effects on the cumulative incidence function. Fine and Gray proposed a proportional hazards regression model for the subdistribution of a competing risk with the assumption ...

Dimethyl fumarate combined with cisplatin at subcytotoxic doses sensitizes cervical cancer toward ferroptosis and apoptosis through GSH restriction and p53 (re)activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

Trend-constrained corrected score for proportional hazards model with covariate measurement error

open access: yesContemporary Clinical Trials Communications, 2015
In many medical research studies, survival time is typically the primary outcome of interest. The Cox proportional hazards model is the most popular method to investigate the relationship between covariates and possibly right-censored survival time ...

Properties and inference for proportional Hazard models

open access: yesRevista Colombiana de Estadística, 2013
We consider an arbitrary continuous cumulative distribution function F(x) with a probability density function f(x) = dF(x)/dx and hazard function h f(x)=f(x)/[1-F(x)]. We propose a new family of distributions, the so-called proportional hazard distribution-function, whose hazard function is proportional to h f(x).

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Tree-augmented Cox proportional hazards models

open access: yes, 2005
We study a hybrid model that combines Cox proportional hazards regression with tree-structured modeling. The main idea is to use step functions, provided by a tree structure, to \u27augment\u27 Cox (1972) proportional hazards models.

A novel design for randomized immuno-oncology clinical trials with potentially delayed treatment effects

open access: yesContemporary Clinical Trials Communications, 2015
The semi-parametric proportional hazards model is widely adopted in randomized clinical trials with time-to-event outcomes, and the log-rank test is frequently used to detect a potential treatment effect.

Analysis of the Proportional Hazards Model with Sparse Longitudinal Covariates

open access: yesJournal of the American Statistical Association, 2015
Regression analysis of censored failure observations via the proportional hazards model permits time-varying covariates that are observed at death times.
