A Geometry Characteristic for Banach Space with $c^1$-Norm [PDF]
Let $E$ be a Banach space with the $c^1$-norm $\|\cdot\|$ in $ E \backslash \{0\}$ and $S(E)=\{e\in E: \|e\|=1\}.$ In this paper, a geometry characteristic for $E$ is presented by using a geometrical construct of $S(E).$ That is, the following theorem holds : the norm of $E$ is of $c^1$ in $ E \backslash \{0\}$ if and only if $S(E)$ is a $c^1 ...

Objective The involvement of cortical inflammation in migraine, particularly migraine with aura, has been a subject of considerable interest, but has proved challenging to demonstrate. We aimed to detect and characterize signs of cortical inflammation in adults with migraine using a novel, multimodal magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technique.

Contemporary management of pain in cirrhosis: Toward precision therapy for pain
Abstract Chronic pain is highly prevalent in patients with cirrhosis and is associated with poor health‐related quality of life and poor functional status. However, there is limited guidance on appropriate pain management in this population, and pharmacologic treatment can be harmful, leading to adverse outcomes, such as gastrointestinal bleeding ...

Increased liver content of DHA‐derived small lipid autacoids (i.e resolvin D1 and maresin 1) associates with enhanced mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation, fatty acid β‐oxidation and bioenergetic metabolic flux. These features provide hepatic protection from steatotic, pro‐inflammatory and fibrogenic insults.

A note on the connectivity of 2-polymatroid minors [PDF]
Brylawski and Seymour independently proved that if $M$ is a connected matroid with a connected minor $N$, and $e \in E(M) - E(N)$, then $M \backslash e$ or $M / e$ is connected having $N$ as a minor. This paper proves an analogous but somewhat weaker result for $2$-polymatroids.

Inflammatory activation of astroglia adds to the pathology of various neurological diseases. Astrocytes respond to microglia-derived cytokines such as interleukin-1α (IL-1α) with enhanced inflammatory signaling.

Chemical Proteomics Reveals Human Off‐Targets of Fluoroquinolone Induced Mitochondrial Toxicity
A schematic overview of the adverse effects of Ciprofloxacin related to mitochondrial toxicity. AIFM1 plays a role in the MIA40‐mediated import into the IMS and oxidative folding of nuclear‐encoded proteins, including ETC complexes I and IV subunits. Ciprofloxacin disrupts the IMS import machinery, impairing ETC function.

The Strongly Antimagic labelings of Double Spiders [PDF]
A graph $G=(V,E)$ is strongly antimagic, if there is a bijective mapping $f: E \to \{1,2,\ldots,|E|\}$ such that for any two vertices $u\neq v$, not only $\sum_{e \in E(u)}f(e) \ne \sum_{e\in E(v)}f(e)$ and also $\sum_{e \in E(u)}f(e) < \sum_{e\in E(v)}f(e)$ whenever $\deg(u)< \deg(v) $, where $E(u)$ is the set of edges incident to $u$.
