PROSTHETIC HAND 3D MODEL DEVELOPMENT

2023
The development of prosthetics is an extremely pressing task in our time. Such devices are designed to improve a person's quality of life and give him opportunities that he lost either as a result of injury or illness, or at birth. However, direct physical development is preceded by three-dimensional modeling of such devices, as a result of which it ...

Dextrous Hands: Human, Prosthetic, and Robotic

Presence: Teleoperators and Virtual Environments, 1997
The sensory and motor capacities of the human hand are reviewed in the context of providing a set of performance characteristics against which prosthetic and dextrous robot hands can be evaluated. The sensors involved in processing tactile, thermal, and proprioceptive (force and movement) information are described, together with details on their ...

CIE-Hand towards Prosthetic Limb

2015
In this paper design of a compliant anthropomorphic five-finger gripper is presented. The device is intended to be used as a basis for a hand prosthesis development. Influence of the gripper underactuation on grasping capabilities was evaluated. In a series of tests, forces exerted on a manipulated objects were measured.

Active Prosthetic Hand

2016
The aim of this thesis is to propose and produce prototype of active hand prosthesis. Prototype is based on myoelectric prosthesis principle, therefore it is meant to be controlled by EMG signals. In this specific case signals will be scanned from healthy arm. Arduino UNO development kit was chosen as the main controller.

Gesture Controlled Prosthetic Hand

This review paper provides a comprehensive overview of the current state of gesture-controlled prosthetic hands using electromyography (EMG) sensors and flux sensors. The development of prosthetic hands that can be controlled by the user's gestures has the potential to significantly improve the quality of life for individuals with amputations, enabling

Prosthetic Hands in King John

2020
The word “hand” occurs more times in King John than in any other Shakespeare play. This is no accident. This play imagines sovereign agency through forms of prosthesis, and figures sovereignty through synecdoche: parts standing in for wholes. The word “hand” comes to the fore at moments in the play where the transactional nature of sovereign power is ...

Prosthetic Hand Technology-Phase II

2013
Abstract : The present Phase II of Smart Prosthetic Hand Technology focuses on the four closely connected areas of EMG signal identification and estimation, hand motion estimation, intelligent embedded systems and control, robotic hand and biocompatibility and signaling. The developed identification algorithm using a new sensor array, a proposed hybrid
