Characterization of an A-Site Selective Protein Disulfide Isomerase A1 Inhibitor.
Protein disulfide isomerase A1 (PDIA1) is an endoplasmic reticulum (ER)-localized thiol-disulfide oxidoreductase that is an important folding catalyst for secretory pathway proteins.

High QSOX2 enhances stemness, drug resistance, and metastasis of ESCC cells. QSOX2‐mediated disulfide bond modification activates mTOR/c‐Myc signaling. CAFs‐secreted IGF‐1 drives mTOR/c‐Myc/QSOX2 positive feedback loop. Combining Ebselen, rapamycin, and cisplatin induces tumor dormancy in mice.

Conformational Resilience of Protein Disulfide Isomerase
Protein disulfide isomerase (PDI) is a 57 kDa protein with both oxidoreductase and chaperone activities that is mainly localized to the endoplasmic reticulum. It is a U‐shaped protein with an abb'xa’ structural organization where the a and a′ domains have conserved CGHC active sites, the b and b′ domains are involved with substrate binding, and x is an

The role and mechanism of TXNDC5 in disease progression
Thioredoxin domain containing protein-5 (TXNDC5), also known as endothelial protein-disulfide isomerase (Endo-PDI), is confined to the endoplasmic reticulum through the structural endoplasmic reticulum retention signal (KDEL), is a member of the PDI ...

Histone Demethylase UTX Suppresses Tumor Cell Proliferation by Regulating Stress Granules
These findings indicate that cytoplasmic UTX forms puncta and co‐localizes in stress granules (SGs) upon various stresses. UTX TPR‐domain‐dependently and demethylase‐activity‐independently destabilize SGs by binding G3BP1, the SG hub protein, to disrupt SG network, thus affects tumorigenesis.

Multiple protein disulfide isomerases support thrombosis [PDF]
Purpose of review The present review provides an overview of recent findings on new members of the protein disulfide isomerase (PDI) family required for thrombosis. Recent findings Twenty years ago PDI was shown to mediate platelet aggregation, and 10 years ago PDI was shown to ...

EXPRESSION OF ENDOPLASMIC RETICULUM OXIDOREDUCTASES (EROS) AND THEIR ROLE IN THE GI TRACT [PDF]
It has been shown that some ER redox enzymes are differentially expressed in stomach and oesophagus tissue. The tissues of the gastrointestinal system, which are subject to external changes of environment during the process of digestion, represent a ...

Prolyl 4-hydroxlase activity is essential for development and cuticle formation in the human infective parasitic nematode Brugia malayi [PDF]
Collagen prolyl 4-hydroxylases (C-P4H) are required for formation of extracellular matrices in higher eukaryotes. These enzymes convert proline residues within the repeat regions of collagen polypeptides to 4-hydroxyproline, a modification essential for ...

Protein Disulfide Isomerase A4 Is Involved in Genome Uncoating during Human Astrovirus Cell Entry
Although human astroviruses (HAstVs) are important agents of gastroenteritis in young children, the studies aimed at characterizing their biology have been limited, in particular regarding their cell entry process. It has been shown that HAstV serotype 8

BACKGROUND: Protein disulfide isomerase (PDI) is required for thrombus formation. We previously demonstrated that glycosylated quercetin flavonoids such as isoquercetin inhibit PDI activity and thrombus formation in animal models, but whether ...
