We examined D‐amino acids in diabetic kidney disease (DKD). Among D‐amino acids, blood D‐serine was identified as a biomarker of DKD, and we found that short‐term change in blood D‐serine showed higher value in fast decliners in DKD patients, which meant the prognostic value of blood D‐serine in DKD.

Markers for internal neoplasia in the horse
The measurement of tumour markers in horses should be performed only in risk groups or in patients with suspicious clinical/laboratory findings (paraneoplastic syndromes). The results should be interpreted with caution as many factors (e.g., young age, pregnancy and inflammation) affect their concentration or activity.
