Ribosome Homeostasis Regulated by SETD2 Preserves Intestinal Epithelial Barrier
SETD2 ablation causes dysregulation and recruitment defects of ribosome biogenesis factors, resulting in translational disorders of barrier maintenance genes, thereby compromising the intestinal barrier. These findings unveil a previously unappreciated role of ribosome biogenesis and translational regulation in preserving the intestinal epithelial ...

Two intracellular and cell type-specific bacterial symbionts in the placozoan Trichoplax H2
Placozoa is an enigmatic phylum of simple, microscopic, marine metazoans(1,2). Although intracellular bacteria have been found in all members of this phylum, almost nothing is known about their identity, location and interactions with their host(3-6). We

ZNRD2 Mediated Nucleoprotein Aggregation Impairs Respiratory Syncytial Virus Replication
During RSV infection, nucleoprotein (N) forms RNA‐bound oligomers. The host protein ZNRD2 binds to these oligomers, promoting their transition into insoluble aggregates. These aggregates simultaneously sequester functional N to restrict viral production and disrupt chaperonin assembly quality control by interfering with ZNRD2's role as an adaptor ...

NAD⁺ homeostasis maintains neuronal integrity through opposing actions of NMNAT2 and SARM1. Loss of NMNAT2 in glutamatergic neurons reprograms cortical metabolism from glucose to lipid catabolism, depletes lipid stores, and triggers inflammation and neurodegeneration.

Dissecting cross-population polygenic heterogeneity across respiratory and cardiometabolic diseases
Biological mechanisms underlying multimorbidity remain elusive. To dissect the polygenic heterogeneity of multimorbidity in twelve complex traits across populations, we leveraged biobank resources of genome-wide association studies (GWAS) for 232,987 ...

TMEM131 recruits the COPII complex to accelerate TRAIL transportation from endoplasmic reticulum to Golgi apparatus, and promotes soluble TRAIL secretion. TRAIL inhibits mitophagy and induces senescence through DR5 receptor in type II alveolar epithelial cells, ultimately driving radiation‐induced lung injury (RILI) progression.

Proteome‐Wide Mendelian Randomization Identifies Therapeutic Targets for Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm
Background The proteome is a key source of therapeutic targets. We conducted a comprehensive Mendelian randomization analysis across the proteome to identify potential protein markers and therapeutic targets for abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA).

This research deciphers the m6A transcriptome by profiling its sites and functional readout effects: from mRNA stability, translation to alternative splicing, across five different cell types. Machine learning model identifies novel m6A‐binding proteins DDX6 and FXR2 and novel m6A reader proteins FUBP3 and L1TD1.
