Gene Editing of Nicotiana benthamiana Architecture for Space‐Efficient Production of Recombinant Proteins in Closed Environments

open access: yesPlant Biotechnology Journal, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Indoor vertical farming (VF) offers practical advantages for the cultivation of plant protein bio‐factories including plant uniformity, product consistency, water/nutrient recycling and production cycles on a year‐round basis. Much progress has been achieved toward the development of innovative systems for artificial lighting, automated ...

Clinical Characterization of Skin Findings on the Hands in Proteus Syndrome

open access: yesPediatric Dermatology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Proteus syndrome is a progressive asymmetric overgrowth disorder caused by mosaic activating variants in AKT1. It most frequently affects the skin, soft tissues, bones, and central nervous system and increases the risk for certain tumors and venous thromboembolism. A hallmark feature is the progressive plantar cerebriform connective

Aetiology and Antibiotic Susceptibility of Common Bacterial Infections in Hospitalised Patients: A 2019 Multisite Cross‐Sectional Survey in Jakarta, Indonesia

open access: yesTropical Medicine &International Health, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objectives To describe the aetiology and antibiotic susceptibility patterns of common bacterial infections in hospitalised patients in Jakarta, Indonesia. Methods We conducted a hospital‐wide point prevalence survey in six hospitals in 2019, capturing data from routinely ordered bacterial cultures taken before the start of antibiotic treatment.

Mitochondrial haplotype and sex modulate responses to endurance exercise training

open access: yesThe Journal of Physiology, EarlyView.
Abstract figure legend Using OKC‐HETB/W rats we demonstrate that mitochondrial haplotype influences training responses of endurance exercise. Overall OKC‐HETW rats showed greater responses than OKC‐HETB in exercise tolerance, mitochondrial bioenergetics, mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) mutation frequencies and motor co‐ordination.

Rare Secondary Neoplasms Arising in Epidermal Nevus: A Case Series and Literature Review

open access: yesJournal of Cutaneous Pathology, Volume 53, Issue 9, Page 772-782, September 2026.
ABSTRACT Malignant transformation is known to occur with many nevi, such as nevus sebaceus. However, cases of secondary tumors developing in an epidermal nevus (EN) are rare, with only a few case reports documented in the literature. We present three unique cases of syringocystadenoma papilliferum (SCAP), syringofibroadenoma, trichilemmoma, and basal ...

Therapeutic drug monitoring of antimicrobials in a paediatric setting: A retrospective single‐centre study

open access: yesBritish Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, Volume 92, Issue 8, Page 2723-2740, August 2026.
Aims Paediatric pharmacokinetics differ significantly from adults due to age‐related physiological changes, necessitating precise dose adjustments. However, data on therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) implementation in paediatric setting remain limited.
