Chemically Passivated Polymeric Charge Recombination Layer for Efficient Tandem Organic Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
A chemically passivated polymeric charge recombination layer is developed for high‐performance tandem organic solar cells. Spontaneous in situ protonation of amine‐rich polyelectrolytes on PEDOT:PSS induces ionic self‐assembly, forming a robust dipole layer.

Aqueous Lithium Hydroxide Chemistry Based on Hierarchically Assembled Hydrogenated Borophene/Cobalt‐Nickel Compounds for Rechargeable High‐Performance Supercapattery

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
Aqueous lithium‐ion storage has been demonstrated using a hierarchically assembled hydrogenated borophene/cobalt‐nickel compound as a supercapattery electrode. Reducible hydrogenated borophene generates undercoordinated oxygen, which is redox‐active for lithiation and hydrogenation during the discharging process following the lithium hydroxide ...

Chip-Based Nanospray Ionisation Mass Spectrometry for the Routine Analysis of Intact Reactive Phosphine Ligands and Phosphino Organometallic Complexes

open access: yesChemosensors
The analysis of intact phosphine ligands and phosphino organometallic complexes by mass spectrometry is problematic due to the reactivity of phosphorous(III) leading to rapid oxidation and decomposition of the ligands and complexes.

Interpretable Machine Learning for Solvent‐Dependent Carrier Mobility in Solution‐Processed Organic Thin Films

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
This work establishes a correlation between solvent properties and the charge transport performance of solution‐processed organic thin films through interpretable machine learning. Strong dispersion interactions (δD), moderate hydrogen bonding (δH), closely matching and compatible with the solute (quadruple thiophene), and a small molar volume (MolVol)

Nitro-Grela-type complexes containing iodides – robust and selective catalysts for olefin metathesis under challenging conditions

open access: yesBeilstein Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2015
Iodide-containing nitro-Grela-type catalysts have been synthesized and applied to ring closing metathesis (RCM) and cross metathesis (CM) reactions. These new catalysts have exhibited improved efficiency in the transformation of sterically, non-demanding

Ionic Liquid-Based Ultrasonic-Assisted Extraction of Alkaloids from Cacao (Theobroma cacao)

open access: yesChemical Engineering Transactions, 2018
Recent advances in the solid-liquid extraction have brought a large number of new techniques as ultrasonic assisted extraction (UAE). Different solvents such as alcohols, acetonitrile and chloroform are reported as extractors of added-value compounds ...
