Two new species of Cecidomyiidae (Diptera) that form galls on Protium heptaphyllum (Burseraceae) are described: Dactylodiplosis heptaphylli sp. nov. (Rio de Janeiro) and Lopesia similis sp. nov. (Rio de Janeiro).
