High level ab initio calculations at the G2** level of theory have been used to examine the effect of interaction with a series of small neutral molecules (X = He, Ne, Ar, CO, HF, N2, H2O, and NH3) on the barrier for rearrangement of the isoformyl cation

A fluorenyl‐containing polyimine is introduced as a simple, scalable precursor for high‐performance carbon membranes. The precursor's intrinsic kinked structure enables defect‐free membrane formation with enhanced hydrogen permeance and excellent ideal selectivities for key industrial gas pairs (H2/N2, H2/CH4, and H2/CO2), offering a practical route ...

Physiological and Biochemical Responses of Cucumis melo L. Chloroplasts to Low-Phosphate Stress
Phosphorus (P) is a limiting plant soil nutrient. Long-term low inorganic phosphate (Pi) irreversibly damages plant cells and hinders plant growth. Plants have evolved several adaptive biochemical, physiological, and developmental responses to low-Pi ...

In this report, a self‐adaptive anhydrous passivation strategy is introduced by incorporating trimellitic anhydride (TMAH) into the perovskite precursor. In situ hydrolysis of TMAH yields trimellitic acid (TMA); ‐C═O/‐COO− groups of TMAH/TMA form a chelate with undercoordinated Pb2+/Sn2+, regulate nucleation, promote (100) orientation, passivate ...

Terminal groups on Cu porphyrins modulate the electronic states of single‐atom Cu centers through a long‐range electronic effect, without altering the Cu coordination geometry. Meanwhile, a multi‐descriptor framework is established that incorporates porphyrin regulation, hybrid catalyst properties, and CO2 photoreduction capabilities.

Mesoblends consist of a nanostructured polymer into which a second polymer is imbibed with a selective solvent. In this work, a solvent‐templatable pentablock terpolymer possessing a sulfonated midblock is modified with a hydrophilic polymer that is photocrosslinked in situ, yielding a hierarchical binetwork.

Inverse pH Gradient-Assay for Facile Characterization of Proton-Antiporters in Xenopus Oocytes
Xenopus oocytes represent one of the most versatile model systems for characterizing the properties of membrane transporters. However, for studying proton-coupled antiporters, the use of Xenopus oocytes has so far been limited to so-called injection ...

A gradient M/MOx (M = Sn, Cu, Cd) synergistic interphase was constructed on Al via a one‐step displacement reaction. This interphase leverages high aluminophilicity and ion‐buffering capability to accelerate desolvation, enhance Al3+ transport, and suppress side reactions, enabling ultrastable symmetric cell operation at 0.05 mA cm−2 for 1800 h with an
