Ultrasmall High‐Entropy Materials: Nanoscale Effects, Synthesis, and Mechanistic Insights

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This review article focuses on sub‐10 nm high‐entropy materials that combine nanoscale design with complex compositions for next‐generation applications. ABSTRACT Ultrasmall high‐entropy nanomaterials (USHENMs, <10 nm) merge multicomponent chemistry with size‐dependent effects, forming a distinct class of materials with unprecedented properties.

Transverse Relaxation of Scalar-Coupled Protons [PDF]

open access: yes
In a preliminary communication (B. Baishya, T. F. Segawa, G. Bodenhausen, J. Am. Chem. Soc. 2009, 131, 17538–17539), we recently demonstrated that it is possible to obtain clean echo decays of protons in biomolecules despite the presence of homonuclear ...

Advancing Tandem Organic Solar Cells With Ternary Acceptor Control for High‐Power Modules and Solar‐to‐Ammonia Conversion

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Tandem organic solar cells with optimized ternary acceptor engineering achieved a power conversion efficiency of 15.53% and enabled a high‐voltage mini‐module (Voc 6.11 V). Integration into a bias‐free PV‐EC system further demonstrated efficient solar‐to‐ammonia (STA) conversion (97% Faradaic Efficiency, 4± 2% STA efficiency), highlighting scalable ...

Observation of correlations between forward protons and 90$^0$ trigger protons at $\sqrt{s}$ = 62 GeV

open access: yes, 1986
We study the production of π + 's and protons at 90° with p t>1.15 GeV and their correlations with forward protons. Fewer forward protons are observed for a 90° proton trigger than for a π + trigger.

Toward Fast Proton Shuttling in Acidic Oxygen Evolution Reaction

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This review establishes proton transfer dynamics as a descriptor governing acidic OER activity, moving beyond the kinetic constraints derived from the proton coupled electron transfer. We discuss how deprotonation governs classical mechanisms, including adsorbate evolution mechanism (AEM), lattice oxygen mechanism (LOM) and oxide path mechanism (OPM ...

Bacterial‐Electrochemical Platform Utilizing a MXene‐Peptide Hydrogel

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A peptide‐based fibrillar hydrogel incorporating MXene facilitates efficient electron delivery to intracellular recombinant [FeFe]‐hydrogenase enzyme in E. coli, enabling sustained bioelectrochemical H2 production without engineered exoelectrogenicity pathways.

Spin-spin coupling between protons bonded to sp2 and sp3 hybridized benzylic carbon atoms and ring protons

open access: yes, 1968
Deviations from symmetry in inherently symmetrical N.M.R. spectra were used to study long-range spin-spin coupling between benzylic protons and ring protons.
