In silico Analysis of Phytocompounds from Plumbago auriculata, Gymnema sylvestre, and Andrographis paniculata as Potential Inhibitors of NDM-1 in Klebsiella pneumoniae [PDF]

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences
New Delhi metallo-β-lactamase-1 (NDM-1) is a major determinant of antibiotic resistance responsible for hydrolyzing β-lactam antibiotics, including carbapenems, in Klebsiella pneumoniae.

Antimalarial Phytochemicals Identification from Euphorbia Hirta against Plasmepsin Protease: an In Silico Approach [PDF]

open access: yesFolia Medica, 2019
Background: Aspartic protease found in plasmodium parasites such as plasmepsin I, II and IV plays an important role in the degradation of hemoglobin. The studies have shown that effective drug must be able to inhibit more than one type of plasmepsin to ...

Free Phenolic Hydroxyl Groups Govern the Anticancer Activity of α‐Mangostin: A Structure–Activity Relationship Insight

open access: yesChemFoodChem, Volume 2, Issue 3, September 2026.
Free phenolic hydroxyl groups in the chemical structure of the natural xanthone α‐mangostin (MGT) contribute positively to achieving the anticancer profile against murine colon cancer, murine triple negative breast cancer, and human osteosarcoma cancer. ABSTRACT The α‐mangostin (MGT) is a natural xanthone obtained from the pericarp of mangosteen fruit (

Phytochemical Profiling and Antibacterial Activity of Moroccan Monofloral Honeys Against Multidrug‐Resistant Uropathogens: In Vitro, ADMET, Molecular Docking, and Molecular Dynamics Approaches

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 14, Issue 9, September 2026.
Multidrug‐resistant bacteria infections require alternative antimicrobial strategies. This study evaluated the phenolic composition, antibacterial activity, and in silico properties of four Moroccan monofloral honeys. Carob honey showed the greatest phenolic diversity, whereas citrus honey contained the lowest polyphenolic content.

Differential effects of low molecular weight inhibitors on the conformation and the immunologic function of the adhesion receptor LFA-1 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
Previous studies of our group 1,2 and by others 3 on the isolated ligand binding domain of LFA-1 (αL I domain) have suggested that some LFA-1 inhibitors act allosterically while other inhibitors were proposed to competitively block the LFA- 1/ligand ...

Transcriptomic Analysis Reveals Core Genes and Mechanisms Linking Grilled Food Toxicants (4‐HNE, BaP, PhIP) to NASH‐HCC Progression

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 14, Issue 9, September 2026.
This study identifies a six‐gene signature (GSTA1, EPHX1, CYP2E1, GPX3, ALB, TF) that mediates how grilled food toxicants (4‐HNE, BaP, PhIP) synergistically drive NASH‐to‐HCC progression via oxidative stress, metabolic dysfunction, and immune microenvironment remodeling, providing a robust diagnostic nomogram for early risk stratification.

Protease inhibitors prevent plasminogen-mediated, but not pemphigus vulgaris-induced, acantholysis in human epidermis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
Pemphigus is an autoimmune blistering disease of the skin and mucous membranes. It is caused by autoantibodies directed against desmosomes, which are the principal adhesion structures between epidermal keratinocytes.
