Abstract Background Volumetric‐modulated arc therapy (VMAT) represents a standard of care for head and neck cancer (HNC). However, treatment plan quality depends heavily on the planner's expertise, thereby challenging the standardization of treatment quality.

Blood monocytes infected with pseudorabies virus (PRV), a swine alphaherpesvirus, are not eliminated efficiently by antibody-dependent immunity and may occasionally transport PRV to the pregnant uterus of vaccinated animals. This study examines in vitro the long-term fate of PRV-infected monocytes cultivated in the presence of porcine PRV-specific ...

Abstract Aim Current radiotherapy (RT) guidelines for Cardiac Implantable Electronic Devices (CIEDs) are largely based on clinical management strategies and retrospective reports. This systematic review adopts a medical physics perspective to provide a critical, quantitative analysis of the technical evidence required for developing robust safety ...

Automatic Distribution of PRVs for Leakage Reduction
In this work, an automatic distribution of the pressure reduction valves (PRVs) is proposed. First, a well-calibrated hydraulic model is required. The model of Manresa, a city of Catalunya in the Mediterranean area, was calibrated using pressure sensors, and the background leakage was estimated using weighted emitter coefficients.

Background: Since 2011, re-emerging pseudorabies virus (PRV) variant strains have been widespread in swine herds immunized with the classical PRV vaccine in China, suggesting that it is necessary to develop a new vaccine against these PRV variant strains.

Ferritinophagy Rewires Carnitine‐Dependent Lipid Metabolism to Inhibit PRRSV and IAV Replication
NCOA4‐mediated ferritinophagy reprograms carnitine metabolism by disrupting Fe‐S cluster biogenesis, thereby establishing an iron‐lipid axis that suppresses various viruses, including PRRSV and IAV. However, viruses counteract this mechanism by degrading NCOA4.

Pseudorabies virus (PRV), an emerging zoonotic α‐herpesvirus, causes life‐threatening human encephalitis. We identified a broad‐spectrum neutralizing antibody 6F7 targeting PRV gD. It blocks gD‐Nectin‐1 binding and membrane fusion, inhibiting replication across all PRV variants, representing a promising candidate for anti‐PRV therapy.

Engagement of understudied populations as community change: The South Texas ADRC model
Abstract Many populations experiencing the highest burdens of Alzheimer's disease and related dementias remain understudied, in part because traditional recruitment and retention models are insufficient to support sustained engagement. The Outreach, Recruitment, and Engagement Core (OREC) of the South Texas Alzheimer's Disease Research Center ...

Eigencones and the PRV conjecture
Let $G$ be a complex semisimple simply connected algebraic group. Given two irreducible representations $V_1$ and $V_2$ of $G$, we are interested in some components of $V_1\otimes V_2$. Consider two geometric realizations of $V_1$ and $V_2$ using the Borel-Weil-Bott theorem.

Aims While pregnancy‐related changes in phase I enzyme activity are well‐documented, less is known about the impact on phase II enzymes. This study aimed to test the hypothesis that changes in the pharmacokinetics (PK) of uridine 5′‐diphosphoglucuronosyltransferase (UGT) substrates during pregnancy result from altered enzyme expression or activity ...
