Products of Jacobians as Prym-Tyurin varieties [PDF]
Let $X_1, ..., X_m$ denote smooth projective curves of genus $g_i \geq 2$ over an algebraically closed field of characteristic 0 and let $n$ denote any integer at least equal to $1+\max_{i=1}^m g_i$. We show that the product $JX_1 \times ... \times JX_m$ of the corresponding Jacobian varieties admits the structure of a Prym-Tyurin variety of exponent ...

PA may delay the onset of age‐related diseases by decelerating biological aging. We found that higher self‐reported amounts of PA in late midlife and device‐based PA in old age were associated with improved MetaboHealth and that reaching twice the amount of the current PA recommendations in late midlife may lead to decelerated biological aging.

Prym varieties of genus four curves
Double covers of a generic genus four curve C are in bijection with Cayley cubics containing the canonical model of C. The Prym variety associated to a double cover is a quadratic twist of the Jacobian of a genus three curve X.

Relative and absolute Lefschetz standard conjectures for some Lagrangian fibrations
Abstract We show that the hyper‐Kähler varieties of OG10‐type constructed by Laza–Saccà–Voisin (LSV) verify the Lefschetz standard conjecture. This is an application of a more general result, stating that certain Lagrangian fibrations verify this conjecture. The main technical assumption of this general result is that the Lagrangian fibration satisfies

Fourier transform and Prym varieties
Let $P$ be the Prym variety attached to an unramified double covering $\tilde{C} \rightarrow C$. Let $X=X(\tilde{\boldsymbol{C}}, C)$ be the variety of special divisors which birationally parametrizes the theta divisor in $P$. We prove that $X$ is the projectivization of the Fourier-Mukai transform of a coherent sheaf $p_*(M)$, where $M$ is an ...

Abstract Small phytoplankton, consisting of pico and nano size fractions, are diverse in size and taxonomy. Yet, the differences in their productivity and taxonomic diversity are poorly described. Here, we measured the cell‐specific carbon fixation rates of picocyanobacteria Synechococcus, picoeukaryote, and nanoeukaryote populations, while unveiling ...

Klein coverings of genus 2 curves
We investigate the geometry of \'etale $4:1$ coverings of smooth complex genus 2 curves with the monodromy group isomorphic to the Klein four-group. There are two cases, isotropic and non-isotropic depending on the values of the Weil pairing restricted ...

Lagrangian Fibrations by Prym Varieties
We describe and study Lagrangian fibrations including non-compact ones from Hitchin systems and compact ones from the moduli spaces of semi-stable sheaves of some fixed invariant on K3 surfaces. We prove properties of the relative Prym variety P constructed from a double cover of a degree one del Pezzo surface T by a K3 surface S using the bi ...

In this text we prove that if an abelian variety $A$ admits an embedding into the Jacobian of a smooth projective curve $C$, and if we consider $ _A$ to be the divisor $ _C\cap A$, where $ _C$ denotes the theta divisor of $J(C)$, then the embedding of $ _A$ into $A$ induces an injective push-forward homomorphism (under certain conditions) at the ...
