Binding of Neuroligins to PSD-95

open access: yesScience, 1997
PSD-95 is a component of postsynaptic densities in central synapses. It contains three PDZ domains that localize N -methyl- d -aspartate receptor subunit 2 (NMDA2 receptor) and K + channels to synapses.

Research on the 1D PSD

open access: yesSPIE Proceedings, 2002
Position Sensitive Detector (PSD) is a device utilizing the lateral photoelectric that produced by the non-uniform illumination of a rectifying semiconductor junction. The linear requirement, spectral responds, position detection error of 1D PSD were presented in this paper.

Distribution of the scaffolding proteins PSD-95, PSD-93, and SAP97 in isolated PSDs

Brain Cell Biology, 2006
We compared the distribution of three scaffolding proteins, all belonging to a family of membrane-associated guanylate kinases, thought to have key roles in the organization of the postsynaptic density (PSD). Isolated PSDs readily adhered to treated glass coverslips where they were labeled with immunogold and rotary shadowed for analysis by EM.

α-Actinin Anchors PSD-95 at Postsynaptic Sites [PDF]

open access: yesNeuron, 2018
Despite the central role PSD-95 plays in anchoring postsynaptic AMPARs, how PSD-95 itself is tethered to postsynaptic sites is not well understood. Here we show that the F-actin binding protein α-actinin binds to the very N terminus of PSD-95. Knockdown (
