Сlinical and neuroimmunological correlations in post-stroke epilepsy illustrated by analyzing serum neuron-specific enolase and vascular endothelial growth factor

open access: yesЭпилепсия и пароксизмальные состояния
Background. Due to progress in the treatment of patients who have suffered a stroke, the prevalence of post-stroke epilepsy (PSE) has been increasing. The search for biomarkers that determine the prognosis of ischemic stroke (IS) complications and PSE ...

Bioactive Composition, Antioxidant, and α-Glucosidase Inhibition of Edible Areca catechu Waste Seed

open access: yesShipin gongye ke-ji, 2022
In view of the problem that edible Areca catechu seeds treated as waste and cannot be massively used after processing, in this study, the waste seeds after edible Areca catechu processing (PAS) are used.

Metal Oxide Nano‐Interface Boosting the Deep Ultraviolet Adjustable Noise‐Filtering In‐Sensor Computing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
We show that sol‐gel‐fractured indium–magnesium oxide combines deep‐ultraviolet responsivity, high carrier mobility, and an excellent memory dynamic range. This unique materials platform enables deep‐ultraviolet long‐afterglow light‐emitting devices with multifunctional integration.

Energy Band Alignment and Electro‐Optical Behavior of Nearly Unstrained Monolayer MoS2 Heterostructures With GaN

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Large size (∼100 µm) monolayer MoS2 grown by LPI‐CVD on n‐GaN exhibit a high n‐type doping, very low strain, and a type‐I band alignment at MoS2/GaN interface. Photocurrent measurements under illumination with photon energies from ∼2 to ∼5 eV show superior electro‐optical performances of these MoS2/n‐GaN heterojunctions as compared to Ni/n‐GaN devices ...

Metal (n+1)p‐nd Orbital Hybridization and Excited‐State Metal–Ligand π‐Interactions Enable d10 Carbene‐Metal‐Amide TADF OLEDs with High Efficiency and Long Operational Lifetime

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We elucidate the key roles of metal p‐d orbital hybridization, excited‐state metal–ligand π‐interactions, and structural rotation in TADF of d10 CMA complexes. Introducing electron‐withdrawing or π‐extended ligand substituents weakens excited‐state metal‐ligand π‐interactions and improves kTADF, but may compromise emitter stability in device operation.

CREAT: A CRISPR‐Based Genome Trimming Strategy for Systematic Identification of Dispensable Regions and Rapid Genome Reduction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Current genome‐reduction methods work in a trial‐and‐error fashion, constituting a long‐standing bottleneck in the research. We developed CREAT (CRISPR‐based genome trimming with a multi‐homology‐arm template), a CRISPR‐based genetic approach that enables systematically classifying essential versus non‐essential genomic regions and subsequently ...

Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy for Evaluating Portal-Systemic Encephalopathy in Patients with Chronic Hepatic Schistosomiasis Japonicum. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS Neglected Tropical Diseases, 2016
Portal-systemic encephalopathy (PSE) is classified as type B hepatic encephalopathy. Portal-systemic shunting rather than liver dysfunction is the main cause of PSE in chronic hepatic schistosomiasis japonicum (HSJ) patients.

SigmaFormer: Augmenting transformer encoders with COSMO sigma profiles for pure component property prediction

open access: yesAIChE Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract Transformer‐based molecular models pretrained on SMILES strings demonstrate strong performance in property prediction. However, these model often lack explicit integration of molecular surface charge distributions that govern intermolecular interactions such as hydrogen bonding and polarity.
