Studies on Pseudomonas aeruginosa
Recent trend of popular application of antibiotics has resulted suppression of incidence of pathogenicorganisms in many cases which were often replaced by Ps. aeruginosa because of its in difference from theseantibiotics. Authors report the results of investigations carried on biochemical and serological characteristicson this species and additionally ...

Cyclodextrin nanoparticle containing both Ga(NO3)3 and GaPP is synthesized and tested against non‐tuberculous mycobacteria (NTM). The in vivo efficacy of the nanoparticle therapy is additionally tested by treating pulmonary NTM infections in mice and observed much greater effectiveness in bacterial clearance and survival of mice.

Influence of Natural Hypolipidemic Compounds on Formation of Pseudomonas biofilms
Natural compounds showing considerable inhibitory effect on formation of biofilms by P.aeruginosa were selected. Synergism of the compounds with gentamicin with respect to both the inhibition of the biofilm formation and the gentamicin antibacterial ...

The Gut Resistome Atlas in Preterm Infants Enables Prediction of Necrotizing Enterocolitis Onset
The gut resistome of preterm infants and its clinical relevance remain poorly understood. This study performs in‐depth integrative analyses of 5,684 gut metagenomes from preterm infants, uncovering distinct features that diverge from term infants. Notably, the gut resistome of preterm infants converges 9 days before necrotizing enterocolitis onset ...

Discover how Gram‐negative bacteria develop resistance to reactive oxygen species, and how scientists aim to overcome this challenge. Abstract Reactive oxygen species (ROS) are a promising alternative bactericide. However, it is questioned that bacteria can potentially develop resistance to ROS, similar to their resistance against antibiotics and ...
