Quorum sensing inPseudomonas syringaepv.actinidiae(Psa)
Acta Horticulturae, 2019Quorum sensing (QS) is a complex bacterial intra and interspecific communication system that is regulated by signaling molecules produced by cell density-dependent mechanisms. QS may regulate different phenotypes such as virulence, motility and biofilm production.

Kiwifruit bacterial canker (KBC), caused by Pseudomonas syringae pv. actinidiae (Psa), is currently the most destructive disease of kiwifruit worldwide. In contrast, the closely related pathovar P. syringae pv. actinidifoliorum (Psaf) only causes necrotic spots, not being associated with plant mortality.

MULTIPLICATION AND MOVEMENT OF PSEUDOMONAS SYRINGAE PV. ACTINIDIAE IN KIWIFRUIT PLANTS
Acta Horticulturae, 2015Pseudomonas syringae pv. actinidiae (Psa), the causal agent of bacterial canker of kiwifruit, is able to spread through infected kiwifruit plants. This study had two goals. The first one was to understand some of the conditions which lead to the movement of Psa in the plant. To study the role of relative humidity (RH) in the colonisation process, young

Recent progress on control of Pseudomonas syringae pv. actinidiae
2015Following the discovery of Pseudomonas syringae pv. actinidiae (Psa ) in New Zealand, a massive screening programme on young kiwifruit plants in a glasshouse was conducted in the hope of finding new compounds for the control of this pathogen. Unfortunately, control of plant pathogenic bacteria is difficult, and Psa is no exception.

GENOMIC DIVERSITY OF PSEUDOMONAS SYRINGAE PV. ACTINIDIAE (PSA) IN CHINA
Acta Horticulturae, 2015Multiple outbreaks of a severe disease of kiwifruit (Actinidia spp.) caused by the bacterium Pseudomonas syringae pv. actinidiae (Psa) have occurred in Italy, New Zealand and Chile in the last few years. The disease was first reported in China and Japan in the 1980s, regions where the genus Actinidia is endemic.

WRKY transcription factors are essential for coping with various biotic stresses. Pseudomonas syringae pv. actinidiae (Psa)-induced kiwifruit canker is a major problem restricting kiwifruit yield. Nevertheless, it's unclear how the kiwifruit WRKY genes respond to Psa.

For plant pathogenic bacteria, adaptation to the apoplast is considered as key in the establishment of the parasitic lifestyle. Pseudomonas syringae pv. actinidiae (Psa), the causal agent of the bacterial canker of kiwifruit, uses leaves as the entry site to colonize plants.
