OVARIAN AND UTERINE CHANGES INDUCED BY BROMOCRIPTINE INJECTION TO PSEUDOPREGNANT RATS

open access: yesThe Iraqi Journal of Veterinary Medicine, 1988
Administration of bromocriptine (100 g) to rats on day 7 of pseudopregnancy (P.P.) caused a marked reduction in P.P. length associated with a significant reduction in ovarian weight and an increase in uterine weight.

The Power Struggle: Kynurenine Pathway Enzyme Knockouts and Brain Mitochondrial Respiration

open access: yesJournal of Neurochemistry, Volume 169, Issue 5, May 2025.
Kynurenine pathway enzyme knockouts impair mitochondrial respiration. The deletion of kynurenine aminotransferase genes leads to significant impairment of mitochondrial respiration and ATP production, highlighting the critical role these enzymes play in cellular energy metabolism.

Spatiotemporal expression and regulation of FoxO1 in mouse uterus during peri-implantation period.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2019
Recent studies indicate that FoxO1 has roles in female reproductive system, especially in maternal endometrium. Although various cellular aspects and molecular pathways have been identified, the exact molecular characteristics of embryo implantation are ...

Expression of estrogen receptors in the hypothalamo-pituitary-ovarian axis in middle-aged rats after re-instatement of estrus cyclicity [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
During reproductive aging female rats enter an anovulatory state of persistent estrus (PE). In an animal model of re-instatement of estrus cyclicity in middle-aged PE rats we injected the animals with progesterone (0.5 mg progesterone/kg body weight) at ...

HOW CAN RABBIT RESEARCH IN THE LABORATORY CONTRIBUTE TO CUNICULTURE ON THE FARM

open access: yesTropical and Subtropical Agroecosystems, 2011
Rabbit research coming from the laboratory can have a profound impact on Cuniculture, performed on the farm, and viceversa.  This bi-directional communication is scarce at present but, by finding issues of common interest, an effective interaction ...

Milk production of pseudopregnant multiparous does.

open access: yesWorld Rabbit Science, 2010
The aim of the experiment was to evaluate the milk production of pseudopregnant does. In this experiment, data of multiparous, inseminated, pregnant (IP, n=15) does and two groups of presumably pseudopregnant multiparous does: inseminated, non-pregnant (INP, n=17) and induced to ovulation by GnRH (1.5 μg per animal) at the day of insemination (11 d ...

Pharmacological effect of one icv dose of Allopregnanolone in female rat: behavioural profile [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
We have previously observed that intracerebroventricular allopregnanolone (ALLO) injection produced an anxiolytic effect and inhibited sexual receptivity when the test was performed in a separate manner. Also, ALLO reverts learning deficit in female rats
