The PRAGMATIC pathway ‐ PRostate cancer diAGnosis and MAnagement Triage In Clinical care

open access: yesBJU International, EarlyView.
Objectives To investigate whether nurse navigator‐led triaging of high‐risk patients may reduce prostate cancer (PCa) diagnosis and treatment times using an in‐house bespoke PRostate cancer diAGnosis and MAnagement Triage In the Clinial care pathway (PRAGMATIC) triaging system, as locally advanced/metastatic disease should be diagnosed and treated ...

Prostate-specific Antigen Density and Clinically Significant Prostate Cancer: Impact of Prostatic Volume in PI-RADS 3 Lesions; High Volume Single-center Analysis

open access: yesBulletin of Urooncology
Objective: Prostate-specific antigen density (PSAd) has gained traction as a superior diagnostic marker, compared with PSA alone, for predicting clinically significant prostate cancer (csPCa).

Long‐term outcomes of cribriform‐positive and cribriform‐negative prostate cancer treated with radical prostatectomy in the ProtecT trial

open access: yesBJU International, EarlyView.
Objectives To retrospectively analyse the results of the Prostate Testing for Cancer and Treatment (ProtecT; ClinicalTrials.gov identifier: NCT02044172) trial to establish the association between cribriform‐positive and ‐negative prostate cancer (PCa) and the 15‐year risk of metastasis or death from PCa in patients who underwent radical prostatectomy ...

Compound Library Screening Identified Cladribine as a Novel Radiosensitizer for Prostate Cancer

open access: yesCancer Science, EarlyView.
The combination of cladribine and irradiation significantly suppressed the growth of DU145‐derived tumors compared with the DMSO plus irradiation group in the mouse model. In addition, it also elevated the percentage of γH2AX‐positive cells after irradiation.

Genomic Profiling in Localized Prostate Cancer: Associations With Biochemical Recurrence and Response to Salvage Radiotherapy

open access: yesCancer Science, EarlyView.
Early screening for somatic alterations in localized prostate cancer could help predict biochemical recurrence risk and optimize salvage therapy selection. ABSTRACT The clinical significance of comprehensive genomic profiling (CGP) has been established in metastatic castration‐resistant prostate cancer (PC).

Immunohistochemistry analysis of PSMA expression at prostatic biopsy in high-risk prostate cancer: potential implications for PSMA-PET patient selection

open access: yesFrontiers in Oncology
IntroductionProstate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) is a transmembrane protein expressed by normal prostatic tissue. Therefore, molecular imaging targeting PSMA (PSMA-PET) has gained particular interest and diffusion for PCa staging and restaging ...

Hoffmann's two‐toed sloth II: Muscle architectural properties in the thoracic limb of Choloepus (Pilosa: Xenarthra)

open access: yesJournal of Anatomy, EarlyView.
Two‐toed sloths use their thoracic limbs for more frequent and greater suspensory support than three‐toed sloths and have muscle architectural properties consistent with stability of the pectoral girdle, enhanced flexor force/torque applied at the shoulder and elbow joints, and grip on the support as indicated by their myology. Abstract Two‐toed sloths
