Freezing for control of stored-product psocids
Abstract A series of studies was conducted by exposing young and old eggs, nymphs, and adults of the psocids Liposcelis bostrychophila (Badonnel), L. paeta (Pearman), L. decolor (Pearman), and L. entomophila (Enderlein) to −18 °C for various time intervals.

Efficacy of grain protectants against four psocid species onmaize, rice and wheat [PDF]
BACKGROUND: Psocids are emerging pests in stored products, particularly in amylaceous commodities such as grains. Currently, their control is based on the use of fumigants and contact insecticides; however, newer data indicate that psocids are tolerant ...

Evaluation of light attraction for the stored-product psocid, \u3ci\u3eLiposcelis bostrychophila\u3c/i\u3e [PDF]
The psocid, Liposcelis bostrychophila Badonnel (Psocoptera: Liposcelididae), is the most widespread psocid pest of stored products. Because L. bostrychophila has developed resistance to several chemical insecticides, it is important to investigate other ...

Distribution of psocids (Psocoptera) in temperature gradients in stored wheat [PDF]
Psocids have become important pests of stored products during the last two decades, but little is known about their behavior or ecology. We examined distribution of Liposcelis bostrychophila Badonnel (Psocoptera: Liposcelididae), Liposcelis entomophila ...

Moisture-dependent insects (silverfish species and psocid species (Psocoptera)) in modern buildings – a sign of hidden moisture and mould damages [PDF]
Through the last 10 years, it has been an increasing occurrence and activity of moisture-dependent insects in modern buildings. Grey silverfish (Ctenolepisma longicaudata) is the most common species, but it is also an increasing number of cases of ...
