Automictic and Apomictic Parthenogenesis in Psocids (Insecta: Psocoptera)
Karyotypes and meiosis patterns in three obligatory thelytokous Psocoptera species have been studied for the first time. Females of Aaroniella badonneli (Danks) display 9 chiasmatic bivalents in oocyte metaphase I (2n = 18), hence meiosis is of the automictic type. Females of Ectopsocus meridionalis Ribaga and Valenzuela sp.

Residual efficacy of four organophosphate insecticides on concrete and galvanized steel surfaces against three liposcelid psocid species (Psocoptera: Liposcelidae) infesting stored products [PDF]
Four organophosphate insecticides, azamethiphos, fenitrothion, chlorpyrifos-methyl, and pirimiphos-methyl, were tested as surface treatments on concrete (porous surface) and galvanized steel (nonporous surface) panels (0.3 by 0.3 m) against adults of ...

Chemical strategies to control psocid pests in Australian stored grain [PDF]
In the past decade, psocids have emerged as important pests in grain storages in Australia. We evaluated the effectiveness of a range of chemical treatments including grain protectants, structural sprays and the fumigant phosphine and also investigated ...

Datasets for the molecular phylogeny and genital evolution of Prionoglarididae (Insect: Psocodea) [PDF]
Nexus formatted aligned data of 18srRNA, Histone3, 16SrRNA, 12srRNA, COI and CytB genes used for estimate the phylogeny of a cave-dwelling psocid family Prionoglarididae.

ocids are commonly found to be a persistent pest in structures of grain stores. Grain residues are potential pest reservoirs that serve as sources of grain re-infestation. Weight losses caused by psocids on broken wheat kernels were measured.

Distribution of three psocid species (Psocoptera: Liposcelididae) in different moisture gradients in wheat [PDF]
Psocids can cause considerable economic losses to stored products by direct feeding, and they have become global pests during the last two decades. We studied the distribution of Liposcelis bostrychophila Badonnel (Psocoptera: Liposcelididae), Liposcelis

Comparative residual toxicities of carbaryl, deltamethrin and permethrin as structural treatments against three liposcelidid psocid species (Psocoptera: Liposcelididae) infesting stored commodities [PDF]
Residual toxicities of carbaryl, deltamethrin and permethrin were evaluated as surface treatments on concrete (porous surface) and galvanized steel (non-porous surface) panels (0.3×0.3 m2) against adults of Liposcelis bostrychophila Badonnel, Liposcelis ...

Psocid taxocenoses (Psocoptera) were studied in forest ecosystems of the Western Carpathian Mts. during 1997-2001. As a study frame were used altitudinal vegetation zones (according to PLÍVA 1971, 1991).
