The binary companion of PSR J1740−3052 [PDF]

Abstract We report on the identification of a near-infrared counterpart to the massive (>11 M⊙) binary companion of pulsar J1740−3052. An accurate celestial position of PSR J1740−3052 is determined from interferometric radio observations.

The position of PSR 0540-69

Using time-resolved two-dimensional photon counting techniques we have found an accurate position for the X-ray and optical pulsar PSR 0540-69. Our position using postexposure variable aperture photometry confirms the position suggested by Caraveo et al.

We have investigated the stability of the pulse frequency second derivatives ($\ddot ν$) of PSR 0823+26, PSR 1706-16, PSR 1749-28, PSR 2021+51 which show significant quadratic trends in their pulse frequency histories in order to determine whether the observed second derivatives are secular or they arise as part of noise processes.

Three phosphatase families form a community: The phosphohydrolases that act upon inositol pyrophosphates

Inositol pyrophosphates are energy‐rich signaling molecules that perform critical functions in cells. Three different families of phosphatases hydrolyze the β phosphate of the inositol pyrophosphate molecules: two have narrow specificities and one is promiscuous.
