Mandibular Condylar Cartilage in Development and Diseases: A PTHrP‐Centric View

open access: yesOrthodontics &Craniofacial Research, Volume 28, Issue S1, Page S70-S80, December 2025.
ABSTRACT The mandibular condylar cartilage (MCC) is a dual‐function component of the temporomandibular joint (TMJ), acting as both articular cartilage for jaw movement and growth cartilage for vertical growth of the mandibular condyle. Parathyroid hormone‐related protein (PTHrP) plays a critical role in orchestrating chondrogenesis in the long bone ...

Parathyroid hormone‐like hormone plays a dual role in neuroblastoma depending on PTH1R expression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, 2019
We have previously reported the expression of parathyroid hormone‐like hormone (PTHLH) in well‐differentiated, Schwannian stroma‐rich neuroblastic tumors.

Single‐cell transcriptomic analysis of glioblastoma reveals pericytes contributing to the blood–brain–tumor barrier and tumor progression

open access: yesMedComm
The blood–brain barrier is often altered in glioblastoma (GBM) creating a blood–brain–tumor barrier (BBTB) composed of pericytes. The BBTB affects chemotherapy efficacy. However, the expression signatures of BBTB‐associated pericytes remain unclear.

Identification of a Novel PTH1R Mutation in Primary Failure of Eruption: A Case Report and Therapeutic Perspectives

open access: yesJournal of Indian Academy of Oral Medicine and Radiology
Primary failure of eruption (PFE) is an uncommon genetic disorder where non-ankylosed teeth do not emerge in the mouth despite the presence of an unobstructed eruption pathway. It is essential to consider differential diagnoses like mechanical failure of

IRE1α regulates the PTHrP-IHH feedback loop to orchestrate chondrocyte hypertrophy and cartilage mineralization

open access: yesGenes and Diseases
Cartilage development is controlled by the highly synergistic proliferation and differentiation of growth plate chondrocytes, in which the Indian hedgehog (IHH) and parathyroid hormone-related protein-parathyroid hormone-1 receptor (PTHrP-PTH1R) feedback

Fast-diffusing receptor collisions with slow-diffusing peptide ligand assemble the ternary parathyroid hormone–GPCR–arrestin complex

open access: yesNature Communications
The assembly of a peptide ligand, its receptor, and β-arrestin (βarr) into a ternary complex within the cell membrane is a crucial aspect of G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) signaling.

PTH1R-CaSR Cross Talk: New Treatment Options for Breast Cancer Osteolytic Bone Metastases

open access: yesInternational Journal of Endocrinology, 2018
Metastatic breast cancer (BrCa) is currently incurable despite great improvements in treatment of primary BrCa. The incidence of skeletal metastases in advanced BrCa occurs up to 70%.

Selection of an artificial binding protein against the ectodomain of PTH1R

open access: yes, 2013
In this thesis, a naive scaffold library, based on human γB crystallin (hγBC), was selected against the N-terminal extracellular domain of parathyroid hormone 1 receptor (nPTH1R), a class B GPCR. Four rounds of a biopanning process were performed and one hγBC binding variant, called 2G4, was repeatedly isolated.

Mapping the global landscape of PTH1R agonists in osteoporosis: a bibliometric analysis

open access: yes
Abstract PTH1R agonists are cornerstone osteoanabolic therapies for osteoporosis, yet the intellectual structure and pharmacological evolution of this field have not been systematically characterized. In this bibliometric analysis, publications on PTH1R agonists in osteoporosis from 2001 to 2025 were retrieved from the Web of Science ...
