AVALIAÇÃO DOS ÍNDICES HEMATIMÉTRICOS: HEMOGLOBINA (HB), RETICULÓCITOS (RET), E FRAÇÃO DOS RETICULÓCITOS IMATUROS (IRF) EM CRIANÇAS COM E SEM PTI

open access: yesHematology, Transfusion and Cell Therapy

STEADFAST: Psychotherapeutic Intervention Improves Postural Strategy of Somatoform Vertigo and Dizziness

open access: yesBehavioural Neurology, 2015
Patients with somatoform vertigo and dizziness (SVD) disorders often report instability of stance or gait and fear of falling. Posturographic measurements indeed indicated a pathological postural strategy.

A leucine‐rich‐repeat receptor‐like kinase SERL1 phosphorylates and stabilizes OsALDH2B1 to promote alkaline tolerance and grain size in rice

open access: yesJournal of Integrative Plant Biology, EarlyView.
The rice aldehyde dehydrogenase OsALDH2B1 enhances grain size and tolerance to alkaline soil by repressing GRAIN SIZE 3 and activating catalases. SERL1‐mediated phosphorylation stabilizes OsALDH2B1 under stress, establishing a signaling axis that overcomes growth‐defense trade‐offs and provides a direct target for breeding high‐yield, alkaline ...

Cell‐type‐specific gating of gene regulatory modules as a hallmark of early immune responses in Arabidopsis leaves

open access: yesNew Phytologist, EarlyView.
Summary In plants, multiple cell types contribute to immunity, but what division of labor exists among cell types when immunity is activated? We compared, at single‐cell resolution, the response of Arabidopsis thaliana leaf cells during pattern‐triggered and effector‐triggered immunity (PTI/ETI), sampled at 3 and 5 h after infection with Pseudomonas ...

Quiescence of postharvest pathogens: a fungal inhibition process or an immune response of the unripe host fruit?

open access: yesNew Phytologist, EarlyView.
Summary Postharvest pathogens can infect fresh produce both before and after harvest, by direct or wound‐enhanced penetration, remaining quiescent until ripening. Biotrophic‐like postharvest pathogens persist beneath host cells and can remain in a state of quiescence.

AVALIAÇÃO DO PLAQUETOGRAMA EM PACIENTES COM TROMBOCITOPENIA IMUNE PRIMÁRIA E PACIENTES COM MIELOSSUPRESSÃO EM UM HOSPITAL DO SUL DO BRASIL

open access: yesHematology, Transfusion and Cell Therapy
Objetivo: A Trombocitopenia Imune Primária (PTI) é uma doença autoimune caracterizada pela destruição imunomediada das plaquetas no sangue periférico e por valores de plaquetas abaixo de 100×103/mm3.

Entanglement of plant immunity and endomembrane trafficking revealed by plant–powdery mildew fungal interactions

open access: yesNew Phytologist, EarlyView.
Summary Plant immunity is complex, and studies of leaf epidermal cells attacked by powdery mildew fungi have been instrumental in revealing how it relies on plant endomembrane trafficking. Immunity against these biotrophic fungi is manifested as cell wall deposits (‘papillae’) and the hypersensitive reaction (HR), both involving plant endomembrane ...

A Proof‐of‐Concept Study of Gamified Rhythmic Training in Preadolescents Who Stutter

open access: yesAnnals of the New York Academy of Sciences, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Stuttering is a developmental speech fluency disorder linked to timing deficits in speech motor control. Given the shared neural mechanisms between rhythmic timing and speech production, rhythm‐based interventions may hold promise for stuttering.

An Analysis of the Timeline to Diagnosis and Treatment in Oral Cavity and Oropharynx Cancer

open access: yesOral Diseases, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To estimate the time intervals from first symptom to treatment initiation and to explore the multifaceted challenges faced by patients with oral cavity and oropharynx squamous cell carcinoma (OCSCC and OPSCC) during their diagnostic journey. Methods A cross‐sectional study was conducted with 182 patients diagnosed with OCSCC or OPSCC

Regulatory Approaches in the Face of a Pandemic: Assessing the Role of Ideology, Context, and Rule Design in Four Spanish Regions

open access: yesPublic Administration, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Regulatory instruments to manage the COVID‐19 pandemic have been the object of rich scholarly debates, primarily focused on early national responses to the crisis. We investigate variation in sub‐national regulatory approaches when a crisis is normalized, its association with competing political ideas about the health‐economy trade‐off and the
