Is the PTP Test Useful?

Cladistics, 1998
We show empirically that the PTP test has very little discriminatory power, with highly significant PTP test probabilities often being associated with parsimony data that produce trees with low confidence (as measured by bootstrapping) and resolution.

Downregulation of protein tyrosine phosphatase PTP-BL represses adipogenesis [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Biochemistry and Cell Biology, 2009
Contains fulltext : 80913.pdf (Publisher’s version ) (Closed access)The insulin/insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1) signaling pathway is a major regulator of adipose tissue growth and differentiation.

PTP-LP: Using Linear Programming to Increase the Delay Robustness of IEEE 1588 PTP

2018 IEEE Global Communications Conference (GLOBECOM), 2018
Clock synchronization protocols such as the precision time protocol (PTP), which are used to synchronize components of distributed systems, are fundamental to enable timed and coordinated activities, e.g., in real-time applications within the industrial Internet of things (IIoT). In theory, PTP is able to achieve a precision on the order of nanoseconds.

Small molecule targeting of PTPs in cancer

The International Journal of Biochemistry & Cell Biology, 2018
Protein tyrosine phosphatases (PTPs) undeniably have a central role in the development and progression of human cancers. Historically, however, PTPs have not been viewed as privileged drug targets, and progress on identifying potent, selective, and cell-active small molecule PTP inhibitors has suffered accordingly.

Identification of the substrate specificity of three intracellular PTP's (PTP-1, PTP-5, and YOP-51) and two transmembrane PTP's (CD45 and LAR) and evidence for an active site arginine residue

2018
This study has investigated the interaction of protein tyrosine phosphatases (PTP's) with their substrates both at the level of recognition and catalysis using three approaches. First, the one mechanism for substrate recognition by three intracellular PTP's (PTP-1, PTP-5, and YOP-51) and two transmembrane PTP's (CD45 and LAR).

Use of Dominant-Negative/Substrate Trapping PTP Mutations to Search for PTP Interactors/Substrates

2016
Phosphorylation of proteins on tyrosine residues is the consequence of coordinated action of tyrosine kinases (TKs), and protein tyrosine phosphatases (PTPs). Together, they regulate intermolecular interactions, subcellular localization, and activity of a variety of proteins.
