Hyper‐Intense Tumor Peripheral Accumulation of Antibody‐Conjugated Iron Oxide Nanoparticles can Enable Breast Cancer Detection by Magnetic Particle Imaging

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Tumor‐associated inflammation retains antibody‐targeted or non‐specific antibody conjugated nanoparticles within the tumor microenvironment. Magnetic Particle Imaging (MPI) enables non‐invasive detection and differentiation of tumors from other organs, owing to higher nanoparticle retention by inflammatory cells in the tumor periphery.

Optimized Cas9‐Enriched Nanopore Sequencing and Analysis Workflow for Clinical Diagnosis of Repeat Expansion Disorders

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An optimized Cas9‐enriched nanopore sequencing workflow, combined with STRiker, enables simultaneous analysis of disease‐associated STR loci from patient blood. The nCATS–STRiker workflow detects repeat expansions, de novo repeat motifs, interruption patterns, and methylation in a single assay, improving the genetic diagnosis of previously undiagnosed ...

Changes in the governance of employment services in Germany since 2003 [PDF]

open access: yes
"Institutional changes in the governance of employment services were the starting point of comprehensive labour market and social policy reforms - the so-called Hartz-reforms (2003-2005) - in Germany. Particularly with the Hartz IV reform in 2005 Germany'

Les identités professionnelles à Pôle Emploi en France chahutées par les restructurations liées au mouvement de centralisation/décentralisation

open access: yesSociologies, 2014
Pôle Emploi, the French public employment service, was created in 2008-2009 through the fusion of two large public agencies. Since then, its 50 000 employees are faced with rising unemployment, while having to adapt to a new model for management of ...

Functional–Taxonomic Scaling Resolves Conflicting Average Genome Size Estimates Across Environmental Gradients

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Based on genome size‐functional breadth theory, we introduce and validate a framework that adjudicates conflicting average genome size (AGS) estimates by testing which estimate yields a gap between scaled functional diversity and scaled taxonomic diversity that is consistent with the expected positive association between genome size and gene functional

Chronic Stress Promotes Gastric Cancer Metastasis by Inducing Microbiota‐Associated Kynurenine Accumulation and Macrophage Remodeling

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Chronic stress reshapes the gut microbiota and enriches Lactobacillus reuteri, promoting microbiota‐associated kynurenine accumulation through altered tryptophan metabolism. Kynurenine drives immunosuppressive remodeling of tumor‐associated macrophages through TNFR2–C/EBPβ signaling, thereby enhancing gastric cancer dissemination.

Digital Public Employment Services in Action

open access: yes
This book offers a comprehensive exploration of the ongoing digital transformation of public employment services (PES) – the most radical remaking of the welfare state in a generation. As PES shift from analogue to fully digitised services, this volume bridges the gap between technology, policy and frontline service provision.

Proteogenomic Profiling of Idiopathic Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension Identifies Sex‐Differential Proteins and Candidate Therapeutic Targets

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An integrated proteogenomic analysis of 44,137 predominantly European‐ancestry UK Biobank participants aged 40–69 years identifies 12 robust proteins associated with idiopathic pulmonary arterial hypertension. These proteins define a high‐mortality molecular endotype, support early detection and mortality prediction, reveal sex‐differential proteomic ...

Reversible, Chemically Gated FRET via Ligand‐Activated Acceptors

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Fluorogen binding turns the compact FAST tag into a tunable FRET acceptor, with ligand chemistry programming spectral overlap and excited‐state lifetimes. Fluorescence‐lifetime imaging reads out energy transfer through the shortened donor lifetime, while simply adding or washing out the dye switches FRET on and off, reversibly mapping the supramodular ...
