Mitosis in Puccinia striiformis

Transactions of the British Mycological Society, 1978
Studies were carried out on the ultrastructure of dividing mitotic nuclei in the hyphae of Puccinia striiformis Westd. The non-dividing nucleus was surrounded by a double membrane which was interrupted by scattered pores. A disc-like spindle-pole-body (SPB), and an electron dense nucleolus were also observed. The nucleolus was extruded before mitosis.

Wheat defense genes in fungal (Puccinia striiformis) infection

Functional & Integrative Genomics, 2010
Wheat stripe rust, caused by Puccinia striiformis f. sp. tritici, is one of the most important diseases of wheat worldwide. To isolate defense-related genes against the pathogen, a suppression subtractive hybridization library was constructed for an incompatible interaction.
