In Mitteleuropa sind auf Weizen (Triticum aestivum) drei Rostpilzarten (Pucciniales) bekannt, nämlich der Schwarzrost (Puccinia graminis), der Gelbrost (P. striiformis) und der Braunrost (P. triticina). Diese Arten sind ökonomisch bedeutend.
