Flow Enabled Target Capture Halbach‐based magnetic enrichment increases circulating tumor cell capture from blood in metastatic cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pair‐wise comparison of the CellSearch and FETCH enrichment technologies for circulating tumor cells (CTCs) from metastatic breast, prostate, and small cell lung cancer patients shows an increased capture of CTCs using FETCH enrichment. The clinical implementation of circulating tumor cells (CTCs) as a predictive tool for therapy efficacy in the ...

Pull – in analysis of L – shaped meandered capacitive pressure sensor at ultra low pressures

open access: yese-Prime: Advances in Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Energy
Pressure sensors in the range of 0 – 100 Pa are used in medical ventilators to monitor and control the air pressure delivered to patients during breathing assistance. They ensure precise control of low-pressure airflow in respiratory support systems.

USP29‐regulated noncanonical stabilization of the hypoxia‐inducible factor‐α in aggressive prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We identify USP29 as the only DUB mirroring CA9 expression, a marker of hypoxia and HIF pathway activation associated with PCA aggressiveness. USP29 stabilizes HIF‐1α and HIF‐2α via a noncanonical mechanism that is independent of PHD/pVHL activity yet relies on proteasomal regulation, establishing USP29 as a previously unrecognized regulator of hypoxic

Longitudinal genome‐wide aneuploidy measurements in circulating cell‐free DNA to predict lack of benefit from pembrolizumab in patients with metastatic urothelial cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Many patients with urothelial cancer do not benefit from treatment with pembrolizumab, while at risk of severe side effects. Changes in the levels of circulating tumor DNA early during treatment, measured by a simple and affordable assay that can be easily implemented in the clinic, can be used as a prognostic tool to identify these patients.

Numerical Modeling of Composite Load-Induced Seabed Response around a Suction Anchor

open access: yesJournal of Marine Science and Engineering
Suction anchors play a crucial role as marine supporting infrastructure within mooring systems. In engineering practice, the composite load comprising nonlinear waves and cyclic pull-out loads can have adverse effects on the seabed soil, posing a threat ...

A novel quinazolinone insulin receptor inhibitor and its synergy with an EGFR inhibitor in glucose‐driven glioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

Digital Push–Pull Driver Power Supply Topology for Nondestructive Testing

open access: yesSensors
Push–pull switch-mode power supplies are widely employed due to their high efficiency and power density. However, traditional designs typically depend on multiple auxiliary circuits to achieve functions such as power-up control, voltage regulation, and ...
