Nanomedicine Meets Immunotherapy: Advancing Adoptive Cell Therapy with Nanoparticles in the Treatment of Cancer with Sustainability Perspectives

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This review surveys nanoparticle‐based strategies to enhance adoptive cell therapy, particularly CAR‐T cell approaches, in solid tumor treatment. It describes how nanoparticles can improve tumor immunogenicity and T‐cell infiltration while reducing toxicity, and how they enable in vivo CAR‐T cell generation.

MG53 Coordinates Macrophage Polarization and Neuroimmune Coupling to Promote Corneal Nerve Regeneration via the MPEG1–MVP–STAT6 Axis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Corneal nerve regeneration is critical to corneal wound healing processes. The current study reveals a novel role of MG53 in promoting corneal nerve regeneration after alkali induced injury. Mechanistically, MG53 enters macrophages via its receptor, MPEG1, promotes MVP K63 ubiquitination, and triggers STAT6 induced repair‐related genes expression ...

Copper Depletion Nanoparticles Potentiate Cancer Immunotherapy by Avoiding Innate and Adaptive Immune Resistance

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A mitochondria‐targeted copper depletion nanoplatform (CYN‐CDA@Alb) was developed to selectively disrupt tumor mitochondria copper, which then reprogrammed the tumor immune microenvironment by depressing PD‐L1 and CD47 expression simultaneously. By doing this, CYN‐CDA@Alb reversed radiotherapy‐induced immune tolerance, showing the potential usage of ...

Ultrasound Activated Piezoelectric Dural Patches to Drive Endogenous Neural Stem Cell–Mediated Repair Traumatic Brain Injury

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study presents a wireless, non‐invasive strategy for neural repair by developing a biodegradable piezoelectric dural patch that, under transcranial ultrasound, generates localized electrical fields to drive endogenous neural stem cells toward neuronal differentiation and functional integration.

TRIM36 inhibits lung fibroblast activation and pulmonary fibrosis through the degradation of phospho-AKT1

open access: yesiScience
Summary: The ubiquitin-proteasome system (UPS) critically regulates protein stability and function. E3 ligase dysregulation plays a crucial role in idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF). TRIM36, a RING-finger E3 ligase with emerging tumor-suppressive roles

A Dynamic 3D Human Liver Sinusoid Model for Mechanistic Interrogation of Fontan‐Associated Liver Disease

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study presents a perfusable 3D bioengineered liver sinusoid platform that integrates biofabrication, 3D cell culture, controlled hemodynamics, and multiparametric characterization to model Fontan‐associated liver disease. By decoupling pressure and hypoxia effects, the system reveals early mechanobiological and profibrotic responses under ...

The Thyroid Hormone Analog GC‐1 Mitigates Acute Lung Injury by Inhibiting M1 Macrophage Polarization

open access: yesAdvanced Science
Acute lung injury (ALI)/acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) is a life‐threatening condition with a high mortality rate of ≈40%. Thyroid hormones (THs) play crucial roles in maintaining homeostasis of the cellular microenvironment under stress. The
