Properties of Alkaline Phosphatase of the Human Dental Pulp

Journal of Dental Research, 1990
Enzymatic and immunological properties of alkaline phosphatase [ALP; orthophosphoric monoester phosphohydrolase, alkaline optimum, EC 3.1.3.1.] in the human dental pulp were investigated. In inhibition and thermal inactivation studies, dental pulp ALP showed properties of universal-type ALP (kidney/bone/liver type).

Properties and treatments of pulps from recycled paper. Part I. Physical and chemical properties of pulps

Cellulose, 1999
The mechanical, physical, and chemical properties of recycled pulps were evaluated after a series of treatments designed to improve and/or modify the pulp characteristics. Tensile strength, bursting strength, and apparent density of the pulps decreased with recycling. However, the tear strength, in most cases, increased after the first recycle and then

Determination of Charged Groups in Mechanical Pulp Fibres and Their Influence on Pulp Properties

Journal of Wood Chemistry and Technology, 1994
Abstract The content of charged groups, i.e carboxylic and sulfonic acid groups in various kinds of mechanical pulp fibres has been investigated. Special emphasis has been given to the determination of the charged groups located at the fibre surfaces using a polyelectrolyte titration technique. The significance of these charged groups for some physical
