Age estimation in young dogs by radiographic assessment of the canine pulp cavity/tooth width ratio
Anatomia, Histologia, Embryologia. Journal of Veterinary Medicine Series C, 2022Age estimation in adult dogs can be performed by the radiographic measurement of the tooth pulp cavity, but the technique has hardly been described. In this study, the application of measuring pulp/tooth width ratios (P/T ratios) of the maxillary canine ...

Neural parvalbumin and calretinin in the tooth pulp
Brain Research, 1994Parvalbumin- and calretinin-immunoreactivities (CR-irs) were examined in the molar tooth pulp of the rat using immunohistochemical methods. CR-ir fibers were further classified based on the tachykinin-ir revealed by a double immunofluorescence method.

Peptidergic nerves in human tooth pulp
European Journal of Oral Sciences, 1984Abstract – Substance P‐like and enkephalin‐like immunoreactive nerve fibers were observed in the human tooth pulp. Immunoreactivity for substance P could be demonstrated in thin, beaded nerve fibers and glomerular‐type nerve structures both in the center and in more peripheral parts of the tooth pulp.

Age estimation in older adults: Use of pulp/tooth ratios calculated from tooth sections.
American Journal of Physical Anthropology, 2018OBJECTIVES Accurate age estimates are foundational for bioarchaeological research, yet the ability to accurately age older adult skeletons remains elusive.
