On the Frequency of Geomagnetic Pulsation pc

open access: yesJournal of geomagnetism and geoelectricity, 1959
Using a preliminary three-month table of IAGA, the hourly frequency of pc, F, which is first expressed by the number of pc appeared in each one hour interval in local time, is calculated at each of the fourteen observatories in Europe-Africa and Japan-Australia longitudinal zones, for each month and each season during the period from October, 1957 to ...

Pulsating multiple nano-jet impingement cooling system design by using different nanofluids for photovoltaic (PV) thermal management

open access: yesCase Studies in Thermal Engineering, 2023
The present work proposes a new cooling system for thermal management and cooling of photovoltaic (PV) systems. Pulsating flow with multiple jet impingement is considered by using different fluid types. Hybrid nanofluid and alumina–water nanofluid having

Epigenetic blind spots – the role of DNA methylation dynamics in stem cell‐based models of embryogenesis

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.

Experimental Investigations of Expansion Strength of Hydraulic Expansion Joints Interconnecting Tube and Fins Heat Exchanger

open access: yesMetals, 2022
As a high expansion strength corresponds to a high heat transfer efficiency, this study investigated the expansion strength of an air-conditioning heat exchanger jointed by hydraulic expansion.

Modulation of Homer1 EVH1 domain internal dynamics by putative autism‐associated mutations

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The putative autism‐associated M65I and S97L variants of the EVH1 domain of the postsynaptic scaffold protein Homer1 do not exhibit substantial changes in their overall structure or partner binding. Both of them, but especially the M65I variant, show altered internal dynamics relative to the wild‐type domain on the μs‐ms timescale, indicated by the ...

From mice to humans—divergent strategies for intestinal homeostasis and regeneration

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Recent advances such as organoid genome editing, xenotransplantation, imaging, and whole‐genome sequencing have enabled direct studies of human intestinal stem cells (ISCs). These studies reveal species‐specific features, including slower ISC proliferation, distinct injury responses, slower somatic mutation accumulation in humans, and an inverse ...

THERMODYNAMIC AND ACOUSTIC ANALYSIS OF THE SOLID FUEL PULSATING COMBUSTION IN A HELMHOLTZ RESONATOR TYPE DEVICE

open access: yesИзвестия высших учебных заведений: Проблемы энергетики, 2018
One of the perspective applications of pulsating combustion is the utilization of industrial waste. There is a mathematical model and the results of calculating the frequency and amplitude of acoustic gas oscillations in a Helmholtz resonator type device

Discerning protein pools by selective staining with self‐labeling tags

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Cell surface proteins have an intra‐ and extracellular pool. Combining genetic fusion to self‐labeling tags that can be addressed with small molecule fluorophores allows separating these pools. We highlight recent developments and techniques for state‐of‐the‐art interrogation of cell surface proteins in the complex tissue setting.

Nonlinear Resonant Responses, Mode Interactions, and Multitime Periodic and Chaotic Oscillations of a Cantilevered Pipe Conveying Pulsating Fluid under External Harmonic Force

open access: yesComplexity, 2020
The nonlinear resonant responses, mode interactions, and multitime periodic and chaotic oscillations of the cantilevered pipe conveying pulsating fluid are studied under the harmonic external force in this research.

USP29‐regulated noncanonical stabilization of the hypoxia‐inducible factor‐α in aggressive prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We identify USP29 as the only DUB mirroring CA9 expression, a marker of hypoxia and HIF pathway activation associated with PCA aggressiveness. USP29 stabilizes HIF‐1α and HIF‐2α via a noncanonical mechanism that is independent of PHD/pVHL activity yet relies on proteasomal regulation, establishing USP29 as a previously unrecognized regulator of hypoxic
