Spatio-temporal evolution of pulsating aurora observed using a ground-based imagers
We investigated the pulsating aurora observed on 7 January 2014, by a narrow field-of-view (FOV) high-time resolution ground-based white-light imager and all-sky low-time-resolution imager operated at Poker Flat, AK (geographic: 65.1°N, 147.4°W).

PIV and LIF study of flow and thermal fields of twine plumes in water
Flow and thermal fields of a pair of plane plumes in water are investigated by means of PIV and LIF experiments. The plumes are generated from thermal line sources, which are made out of electrically heated cylinders with a diameter of D = 1.21 mm.

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

Structural biology of ferritin nanocages
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

Frequency analysis of five short periodic pulsators [PDF]
CCD observations of five newly discovered pulsating stars are analyzed using the Period04 software for a comprehensive investigation of their pulsation properties. The type of their variability is discussed, and the pulsation frequencies and Fourier spectra are presented.

Nanosecond infrared laser (NIRL) low‐volume sampling combined with shotgun lipidomics uncovers distinct lipidome alterations in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) of the palatine tonsil. Several lipid species consistently differentiate tumor from healthy tissue, highlighting their potential as diagnostic markers.
