Unexpected Right Atrial Crossing of the Sphere‐9 Catheter Despite Stable Left Atrial Sheath Position

open access: yesJournal of Arrhythmia, Volume 42, Issue 5, October 2026.
The Sphere‐9 catheter unexpectedly crossed into the right atrium despite stable left atrial sheath position. A perpendicular, sheath‐supported approach may have facilitated passage of the flexible lattice tip through a small interatrial communication while the sheath remained within the left atrium.

Procedural Efficiency and Clinical Outcomes of a Region‐Specific Radiofrequency Ablation Strategy for Pulmonary Vein Isolation

open access: yesJournal of Arrhythmia, Volume 42, Issue 5, October 2026.
Graphical summary of a region‐specific radiofrequency ablation strategy for pulmonary vein isolation. Anatomically tailored energy delivery was associated with improved procedural efficiency, with no detected difference in first‐pass isolation or 12‐month arrhythmia recurrence compared with conventional ablation index‐guided ablation.

Hemoglobin Levels as a Marker of Arrhythmia Recurrence After Atrial Fibrillation Ablation

open access: yesJournal of Arrhythmia, Volume 42, Issue 5, October 2026.
Lower hemoglobin levels are associated with increased arrhythmia recurrence after radiofrequency ablation but not cryoballoon ablation. The stronger association in patients with non‐paroxysmal AF suggests that low hemoglobin may reflect an adverse atrial substrate rather than a procedural effect.

Multimodality Imaging‐Guided Pulsed Field Ablation for Atrial Fibrillation in Cor Triatriatum Sinister

open access: yesJournal of Arrhythmia, Volume 42, Issue 5, October 2026.
Multimodality imaging facilitated safe transseptal access and catheter navigation in a patient with cor triatriatum sinister. CARTO‐integrated VARIPULSE pulsed‐field ablation achieved pulmonary vein isolation without complications, demonstrating a feasible treatment strategy for atrial fibrillation in complex congenital left atrial anatomy.
