Stringlike Pulse Quantification Study by Pulse Wave in 3D Pulse Mapping [PDF]
A stringlike pulse is highly related to hypertension, and many classification approaches have been proposed in which the differentiation pulse wave (dPW) can effectively classify the stringlike pulse indicating hypertension. Unfortunately, the dPW method cannot distinguish the spring stringlike pulse from the stringlike pulse so labeled by physicians ...

Adaptaquin selectively kills glioma stem cells while sparing differentiated brain cells. Transcriptomic and proteomic analyses show Adaptaquin disrupts iron and cholesterol homeostasis, with iron chelation amplifying cytotoxicity via cholesterol depletion, mitochondrial dysfunction, and elevated reactive oxygen species.

Self-referenced characterization of space-time couplings in near single-cycle laser pulses [PDF]
We report on the characterization of space-time couplings in high energy sub-2-cycle 770nm laser pulses using a self-referencing single-shot method. Using spatially-encoded arrangement filter-based spectral phase interferometry for direct electric field ...

This study characterizes the responses of primary acute myeloid leukemia (AML) patient samples to the MCL‐1 inhibitor MIK665. The results revealed that monocytic differentiation is associated with MIK665 sensitivity. Conversely, elevated ABCB1 expression is a potential biomarker of resistance to the treatment, which can be overcome by the combination ...

Techniques for decoding speech phonemes and sounds: A concept [PDF]
Techniques studied involve conversion of speech sounds into machine-compatible pulse trains. (1) Voltage-level quantizer produces number of output pulses proportional to amplitude characteristics of vowel-type phoneme waveforms.

Temporal properties of gamma-ray bursts as signatures of jets from the central engine
A comprehensive temporal analysis has been performed on the 319 brightest GRBs with T90>2s from the BATSE current catalog. The rise times, fall times, full-widths at half maximum (FWHM), pulse amplitudes and pulse areas were measured and the frequency ...

Is pulsar B0656+14 a very nearby RRAT source? [PDF]
The recently discovered RRAT sources are characterized by very bright radio bursts which, while being periodically related, occur infrequently. We find bursts with the same characteristics for the known pulsar B0656+14. These bursts represent pulses from

Patch‐clamp recordings revealed that tamoxifen inhibits voltage‐gated sodium channels, especially under acidic conditions, both common in metastatic cancer cells. These effects may explain certain antitumor properties of tamoxifen, highlighting a novel mechanism of action beyond its known endocrine effects.

Circuit counts pulses and indicates time of occurrence of slow pulses [PDF]
Counter includes one section which counts the first several pulses, and a second section which counts pulses from a clock between the beginning of a sampling interval and the receipt of the first pulse by the circuit. The number of clock pulses indicates
