What Norms Trigger Punishment [PDF]
Many experiments have demonstrated the power of norm enforcement-peer monitoring and punishment-to maintain, or even increase, contributions in social dilemma settings, but little is known about the underlying norms that monitors use to make punishment ...

Individual differences in third-party interventions: How justice sensitivity shapes altruistic punishment [PDF]
Altruistic punishment refers to the phenomenon that humans invest their own resources to redress norm violations without self-interest involved. We address the question of who will intervene in situations that allow for altruistic punishment.

Electrostatic Superlattices Beyond 1:1 Stoichiometry
Polymer‐mediated charge regulation drives two hierarchical routes to higher‐stoichiometry nanoparticle superlattices. Tuning the polymer's molecular weight promotes progressive interstitial filling, transforming ZnS into the fully occupied CaF2${\rm CaF}_2$ lattice. Exchanging polymer assignment between large and small nanoparticles instead breaks CsCl

Free-riding on altruistic punishment? An experimental comparison of third-party-punishment in a stand-alone and in an in-group environment. [PDF]
This paper deals with the subject of third-party punishment. The paper compares, by means of an economic experiment, punishment by a third party (Stand-Alone case) with punishment by third parties (In-Group environment). This deliberate introduction of a

Autonomous scanning probe microscopy and multi‐objective Bayesian optimization navigate a ternary (Al,Sc,B)N combinatorial library. Registered photoluminescence, electron‐probe compositional mapping, and X‐ray diffraction connect local electromechanical function to defect‐sensitive emission, composition, and crystal structure.

Broken Punishment Networks in Public Goods Games: Experimental Evidence [PDF]
Abundant evidence suggests that high levels of contributions to public goods can be sustained through self-governed monitoring and sanctions. This experimental study investigates the effectiveness of decentralized sanctioning institutions where ...

Architecture‐Driven Functional Coupling in Vertically Aligned Nanocomposites
Vertically aligned nanocomposites define a growth‐engineered architecture in which vertical interfaces, strain fields, defect pathways, and phase connectivity are created simultaneously. This review shows how these architectural features couple ferroic, optical, ionic, electrochemical, and device responses, establishing design rules and open challenges

Punishment with Uncertain Outcomes in the Prisoner’s Dilemma [PDF]
This paper experimentally investigates whether risk-averse individuals punish less if the outcome of punishment is uncertain than when it is certain. Our design includes three treatments: Baseline in which the one-shot prisoner’s dilemma game is played ...

RationaleGray's theory of personality distinguishes two personality dimensions: Behavioral Activation System (BAS) and Behavioral Inhibition System (BIS). This construct has been widely used in the field of addictions and the study of impulsivity. BIS and BAS can be measured using the Sensitivity to Punishment and Sensitivity to Reward Questionnaire ...

A triplet‐blocking layer controls triplet exciton dynamics in blue upconversion OLEDs. The layer keeps charge transfer (CT)‐generated triplet excitons inside the triplet‐triplet annihilation (TTA) host, suppresses anode‐side interfacial quenching, and increases the steady‐state triplet population.
