Dignity of law in Kelsen's "pure" theory of law [PDF]

open access: yesGlasnik Advokatske komore Vojvodine, 1998
Method is the substance of Kelsen's "pure" theory' of law. The law is a world of "necessitation", but not a world of "being". Kelsen's theory is very important for fignity of law and lawyers; it does not justify (legitimate), but only ascertain. Although Kelsen does not accept the idea of "natural law", his theory, being tolerant and in its own way ...

Circular RNA expression landscapes in myelodysplastic neoplasms: Associations with mutational signatures and disease progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In this explorative study, the abundance of circular RNA molecules in bone marrow stem cells was found to be elevated in patients with high‐risk myelodysplastic neoplasms, and to be associated with an increased risk of progression to acute myeloid leukemia.

How to pull types of discretion out of kelsen's Pure Theory of Law [PDF]

open access: yesPravni Zapisi, 2019
The expression hat-trick (signifying the scoring of three consecutive goals by one player) is very common in sports. In this short paper, coining the legal use of the expression, I will try to pull (3) types of discretion out of Hans Kelsen's Pure Theory

Spatial and single‐nuclei transcriptomics reveals idiosyncratic and generic patterns in papillary and anaplastic thyroid cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Matched spatial transcriptomics and single‐nuclei RNA‐seq were generated for anaplastic and BRAFV600E papillary thyroid cancers revealing generic and tumor‐specific states occurring in cancer cells and in the tumor microenvironment. In this context, cancer dedifferentiation mirrored organoid maturation through ordered thyroid marker gain/loss ...

Hyperosmotic stress‐induced redistribution of pre‐mRNA cleavage factor I subunits is associated with shifts in alternative polyadenylation

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Hyperosmotic stress triggers the relocation of the CFIm complex from the nucleus to the cytoplasm. This shift creates a nuclear ‘stoichiometric bottleneck’, limiting CFIm availability for mRNA processing. Consequently, specific mRNAs like NUDT21 and DICER1 undergo targeted 3′UTR shortening, demonstrating how spatial protein dynamics drive rapid ...

Evaluating the effect of γ‐oryzanol on MASLD pathology using a medaka fish model

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This study explores a liver disease called MASLD, which is increasing worldwide and can lead to serious damage. Researchers used medaka fish instead of rodents to test a food compound, γ‐oryzanol. Fish fed this compound had less liver fat and healthier gut bacteria.

Wrongs and Sanctions in the Pure Theory of Law

open access: yesRatio Juris, 2022
AbstractThis short paper addresses a well‐known difficulty in the Pure Theory of Law: the definition of a legal wrong. Kelsen was unable to offer a suitable one, critics say. I agree. But the critics misdiagnosed the problem, and prescribed for it a fruitless solution.

Modular Critical Element Recycling Platform Using a Nanoporous Additively Manufactured Gyroid

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A modular recycling platform integrates 3D‐printed nanoporous gyroid structures to enable efficient critical element recovery. This system utilizes a hierarchical architecture, combining macroscopic channels with polymerization‐induced nanoscale porosity. By systematically tuning structural wall thickness and resin formulation, the platform achieves an
