Biadjoint wires

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2019
Biadjoint scalar field theory has been the subject of much recent study, due to a number of applications in field and string theory. The catalogue of exact non-linear solutions of this theory is relatively unexplored, despite having a role to play in ...

Machine Learning‐Supported Analysis for Predicting and Visualizing Nonlinear Relationships Between Material Properties in Electroplated Chromium Layers

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study applies machine learning regression to predict chromium layer thickness in decorative trivalent chromium electroplating, using 441 experiments from laboratory‐scale (1L) and pilot‐scale (14L) setups. Tree‐based models, particularly CatBoost, outperformed linear regression by capturing nonlinear parameter interactions (R2$R^2$ up to 0.77 ...

Impact of MgO Additions on the Oxidation Resistance and Compression Behavior of Vanadium Alloys

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
An increase in oxidation resistance at 600 °C is achieved for alloys containing more than 2.5 wt.% MgO. It has been established that, along with V2O5, MgO6V2, and Mg2O7V2 are formed, which are presumed to enhance oxidative stability. Furthermore, the possible transformation of Mg‐vanadates through reaction with CO2, which presumably occurs in this ...

As Revoluções Científicas e a Teoria Pura do Direito de Hans Kelsen/The Scientific Revolutions and the Hans Kelsen's Pure Theory of Law

Influence of TiC and TiN Ceramic Reinforcements on the Microstructure, Thermal Expansion Behavior, and Tensile Properties of Invar 36 Manufactured by Laser Powder Bed Fusion

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study examines Invar composites reinforced with titanium carbide (TiC) and titanium nitride (TiN) using laser powder bed fusion (LPBF). It presents the influence of reinforcements on microstructure, tensile properties, and thermal expansion. Results show that TiC effectively strengthens Invar while maintaining low thermal expansion, whereas TiN ...

International Law and Transition to Peace in Colombia [PDF]

open access: yes, 2021
In International Law and Transition to Peace in Colombia, César Rojas-Orozco analyses the role of international law in transition from armed conflict to peace, by using the analytical framework of jus post bellum and Colombia as a case study.

Reading the Costanzo Obligation in the Light of the Pure Theory of Law

open access: yesActa Universitatis Lodziensis Folia Iuridica
In this article, I discuss the obligations of administrative authorities in European Union (EU) member states applying EU law from the perspective of some of the views presented by Hans Kelsen in his Pure Theory of Law. Reference is made particularly to

Rapidly Solidified High‐Strength Invar 36 Prepared by Planar‐Flow Melt Spinning

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The Invar 36 alloy was rapidly solidified using the planar‐flow melt‐spinning technique. Ribbon samples with thicknesses ranging from 20 to 160 mm were produced. As the grain size of the ribbon decreased to sub‐micron levels, the hardness increased by more than 2 times.

Norma podstawowa w Czystej Teorii Prawa Hansa Kelsena

open access: yesEthics in Progress, 2014
The aim of following paper is to indicate that the notion of Grundnorm, described by Hans Kelsen in second edition of his Pure Theory of Law (Kelsen, 1960), is in fact a necessity in every construction of normative order – understood as a coercive design.

A Multi‐Scale Machine Learning Framework for the Inverse Design of High Entropy Alloys

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
High‐entropy alloys offer vast potential for various applications, including electrocatalysis; however, their compositional complexity challenges conventional screening. We introduce an inverse‐design framework combining two neural networks to determine optimal compositions and reconstruct nanoparticle geometry from targeted properties and conventional
