In 1888 Radcliffe Crocker 1 first described acrodermatitis repens. Two years later Hallopeau 2 reported a case of chronic suppuration of the fingers of a patient who had Raynaud's disease. The pustules were not confined to the digits affected by the vasomotor disturbances but were present on other fingers and on the mucous membrane of the mouth.
