Genetic and Phenotypic Diversity of European Triticale: GWAS of Yellow Rust Resistance and Agronomic Traits

open access: yesPlant Breeding, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Triticale (x Triticosecale Wittmack) is an interspecific hybrid of wheat and rye. It is a promising grain and forage crop that thrives in poorer soils and low‐input farming systems. It can serve as a viable alternative to traditional small grains such as wheat and barley, bringing diversity to crop rotations and enhancing biodiversity in ...

Spatial analysis of cell patterning to aid genetic and phenotypic understanding of grass stomatal density: A case study in maize

open access: yesThe Plant Phenome Journal, Volume 9, Issue 1, December 2026.
Abstract Biological processes involve complex hierarchies where composite traits result from multiple component traits. However, holistically understanding of how sets of component traits interact to underpin genotype‐to‐phenotype relationships is generally lacking.

Healthcare exposures and associated risk of endocarditis after open-heart cardiac valve surgery

open access: yesBMC Medicine
Background Infective endocarditis (IE) following cardiac valve surgery is associated with high morbidity and mortality. Data on the impact of iatrogenic healthcare exposures on this risk are sparse.

Quantification of the Tissue Sodium Concentration in the Human Calf at 7T With Reduced Acquisition Time: Influence of the Nominal Spatial Resolution

open access: yesNMR in Biomedicine, Volume 39, Issue 9, September 2026.
Fast 23Na MRI of the human calf at 7T was achieved by reducing nominal spatial resolution. Shorter measurement times can improve clinical feasibility of 23Na MRI while preserving reliable quantification of apparent tissue sodium concentration through partial volume, relaxation, and B0/B1 corrections.

Genetic analyses of leaf traits in an interspecific Zoysia japonica × Zoysia matrella F2 population

open access: yesThe Plant Genome, Volume 19, Issue 3, September 2026.
Abstract Zoysiagrass (Zoysia spp.) is an important warm‐season turfgrass cultivated across tropical, subtropical, and temperate regions of the world. The genus is characterized by the presence of salt‐secreting glands on the adaxial leaf surface, which contribute to its high salt tolerance.

Genetic insights into bacterial wilt resistance using genomic prediction and association mapping in blueberry

open access: yesThe Plant Genome, Volume 19, Issue 3, September 2026.
Abstract Bacterial wilt, caused by Ralstonia spp., poses a major threat to blueberry (Vaccinium corymbosum) production due to its persistence and rapid spread through soil and infected stock, highlighting the need for genetic insights to guide breeding strategies. This study investigated the genetic basis of bacterial wilt resistance in blueberry using

Practical stability performance of polyvinylether(PVE)with HFC refrigerarits

open access: yesZhileng xuebao, 2003
Deterioration degree of PVE Lubricants was investigared by analyzing used oils after various compressor and system tests with HFC refrigerants. As a result, deterioration of PVE itself was not observed and long term reliability was confirmed. Furthermore,

Integrative genomics and zero‐shot deep learning–based phenotyping reveal the genetic architecture of seed traits in mungbean (Vigna radiata L.)

open access: yesThe Plant Genome, Volume 19, Issue 3, September 2026.
Abstract Improving seed size and weight is a major breeding goal in mungbean (Vigna radiata (L.) R. Wilczek). Improved genomic resources and precision phenotyping may enable more efficient selection for seed trait improvement. In this study, we integrated a deep learning–based segment anything model phenotyping pipeline with genome‐wide association ...
