Practical Enantioselective Approach to 3‐Amino‐2‐Hydroxy Acids and Application to the Synthesis of Natural Products

open access: yesChirality, Volume 38, Issue 7, July 2026.
A practical and straightforward approach to optically active erythro 3‐amino‐2‐hydroxy acids and its application to the enantioselective synthesis of 3‐phenylisoserine and of the marine natural product 3‐amino‐2‐hydroxy‐6‐methylheptanoic acid is reported.

Pyridine and pyridinium-based anion receptors

open access: yes, 2010
Pyridine and pyridinium heterocycles play an important role in anion receptor chemistry. Hydrogen bond arrays are frequently preorganized by the presence of the pyridine nitrogen lone pair of electrons, whilst the positively charged pyridinium group is ...

Multi‐Targeting Ligands as Prospective Therapeutics for Alzheimer's Disease, a Prevalent Neurodegenerative Disorder: Mechanistic Insights, Emerging Targets and Drug Discovery Campaigns

open access: yesMedicinal Research Reviews, Volume 46, Issue 4, Page 1173-1229, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a debilitating neurodegenerative condition characterized by progressive cognitive impairment, memory deterioration, and neuronal dysfunction. Its complex pathophysiology involves multiple interlinked processes, including amyloid‐β (Aβ) aggregation, tau hyperphosphorylation, oxidative stress, neuroinflammation ...

Pyridinium halide promoted ring-opening reactions of exo-norbornene oxide

open access: yes, 1983
Ring opening of 1 with pyridinium chloride or pyridinium iodide in chloroform and/or pyridine gives significant amounts of halohydrins 2a or 2b, reflecting partial suppression of the Wagner-Meerwein rearrangement that occurs on ring-opening with hydrogen

Radiolabeled Angiopep‐2 Peptide Vector as a Preclinical Platform for Blood–Brain Barrier Targeting: Synthesis, Radiolabeling, and Preliminary In Vivo Biodistribution in Mice

open access: yesJournal of Peptide Science, Volume 32, Issue 7, July 2026.
The developed DOTA‐Angiopep‐2 conjugate was well tolerated in glioma cells and enabled high‐yield radiolabeling with 177Lu and 161Tb. The 161Tb conjugate showed brain delivery with predominantly renal clearance, supporting a stable radiotheranostic platform for BBB‐targeted glioma therapy and SPECT imaging.

Transfer Learning‐Guided Discovery of Advanced Tetrametallic Single‐Cluster Catalysts for Urea Electrosynthesis

open access: yesRare Metals, Volume 45, Issue 7, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Developing advanced electrocatalysts for urea synthesis is pivotal to alleviating environmental burdens as well as advancing sustainability in the industrial and agricultural sectors, yet untargeted catalyst screening still suffers from the notorious drawbacks of being time‐consuming, labor‐intensive, and inefficient.
