Sustainable Metal Recovery From E‐Waste: Exploring Greener Leachates in Hydrometallurgical Processes

open access: yesMetalMat, EarlyView.
Recycling of electronic waste to synthesize valuable metals using green leachate. ABSTRACT The accumulation of electronic waste (e‐waste) poses environmental hazards and leads to the loss of valuable metals such as gold, silver, copper, and rare earth elements.

Dipyridinium 2,2′-dithiodinicotinate

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section E, 2009
The dianion of the title salt, 2C5H6N+·C12H6N2O4S22−, lies on a special position of 2 site symmetry that relates one thionicotinate part to the other, and the dihedral angle between the niotinate planes is 89.2 (2)°.

Protic Ionic Liquids in Contrast to Aprotic Analogs: Transport Properties and Electrochemical Reactivity

open access: yesThe Chemical Record, EarlyView.
The transport properties and electrochemical reactivity of protic ionic liquids (ILs) are compared with those of aprotic analogs. Protic ILs are characterized by strong cation–anion hydrogen bonding and labile protons, enabling proton conduction and highlighting their potential as fuel cell electrolytes.

Synthetic and theoretical study on novel N-ylidic complexes of mercury as new antibacterial agents

open access: yesScientific Reports
The novel structure of Hg(II) complexes including the pyridinium ylide C5H5NCHC(O)C6H4-m-Br (Y) were synthesized and reported in this study. In the first step, the pyridinium salt C5H5NCH2C(O)C6H4-m-Br (S) was produced by reacting 2,3′-dibromoactophenone
