This study shows that 8 weeks of high‐intensity interval training (HIIT) modulate inflammasome‐related gene expression in individuals with obesity. HIIT increased AIM2, MEFV, CARD16 and CARD18 expression, with CARD16 upregulation supporting reduced inflammation through inhibition of caspase‐1 activation and lower IL‐1β levels.

Schematic overview of the roles triggering receptor expressed on myeloid cells‐1 (TREM‐1) plays in monosodium urate (MSU) crystal‐induced inflammasome activation and IL‐1β secretion in gout arthritis. The present study provides novel data suggesting that blockade of TREM‐1 by LP17 attenuates MSU‐crystal‐induced inflammation through inhibition of ...

Bacterial Extracellular Vesicles in the Pathogenesis and Treatment of Liver Diseases
Liver diseases are a major global health challenge, with current treatments inadequate. This review highlights the role of bacterial extracellular vesicles in liver inflammation, fibrosis, and metabolism. We also explore these from commensals and probiotics, their protective effects, and discuss research challenges and future therapeutic potential ...

Molecular Mechanism of NLRP3 Inflammasome in Inflammatory Diseases and Tumors
The nucleotide‐binding and oligomerization domain‐like receptors (NLRs) are pattern recognition receptors. Nucleotide‐binding oligomerization domain‐like receptor family pyrin domain‐containing 3 (NLRP3), a member of the NLRs family, can form a protein ...
