Third‐Order Nonlinear Optical Response and Optical Limiting in Silver‐Cobalt Bimetallic Nanoparticles

open access: yesNanophotonics, Volume 15, Issue 16, 26 August 2026.
Silver‐cobalt bimetallic nanoparticles with a surface Co3O4 layer combine plasmonic field enhancement with interfacial charge transfer to deliver strong reverse saturable absorption and low‐threshold optical limiting under both continuous‐wave and nanosecond excitation.

Ultra‐Broadband Optical Characterization of TiO2 Nanotube Arrays Revealing Annealing‐Tunable THz Absorption

open access: yesNanophotonics, Volume 15, Issue 15, 13 August 2026.
Lithography‐free spaced TiO2 NT arrays unlock tunable broadband absorption from THz to UV. By harnessing annealing‐driven phase transitions, strong phonon–polariton resonances emerge in the 1.4–3.6 THz range, whereas high absorptance persists beyond 10 THz.

Ultrahigh pyroelectricity in monoelemental 2D tellurium [PDF]

open access: yes
We report an ultrahigh pyroelectric response in van der Waals bonded layers of two-dimensional (2D) tellurium (Te) nanosheets (thickness, d = 4 to 5 nm) at periodic on-off temperature oscillations. For the first time a large pyroelectric coefficient, Pc ~
