A Pilot Study on Characteristics of Metabolomics and Lipidomics according to Sasang Constitution

open access: yesEvidence-Based Complementary and Alternative Medicine, Volume 2018, Issue 1, 2018., 2018
Although classification of an individual’s Sasang constitution is a key step in the prescription of traditional Korean medicine, the classifying process is complex and not objective. Identification of metabolic‐based biomarkers could allow the development of a reliable and sensitive classification technique and even therapeutic management.

LC‐MS‐Based Metabolic Fingerprinting of Aqueous Humor

open access: yesJournal of Analytical Methods in Chemistry, Volume 2017, Issue 1, 2017., 2017
Aqueous humor (AH) is a transparent fluid which fills the anterior and posterior chambers of the eye. It supplies nutrients and removes metabolic waste from avascular tissues in the eye. Proper homeostasis of AH is required to maintain adequate intraocular pressure as well as optical and refractive properties of the eye.

Effect of Several Penetration Enhancers on the Percutaneous Absorption of Indomethacin in Hairless Rats [PDF]

open access: yes, 1987
In order to measure the effect of several penetration enhancers on the percutaneous absorption of drugs and to classify the enhancers into several categories in terms of the mode and mechanism of action, in vitro permeation experiments with a model drug,

Specific Chiral Sensing of Amino Acids Using Induced Circularly Polarized Luminescence of Bis(diimine)dicarboxylic Acid Europium(III) Complexes

open access: yes, 2016
The circularly polarized luminescence (CPL) from [Eu(pda)2]− (pda = 1,10-phenanthroline-2,9-dicarboxylic acid) and [Eu(bda)2]− (bda = 2,2′-bipyridine-6,6′-dicarboxylic acid) in aqueous solutions containing various amino acids was investigated.

Host-dependent resistance of Group A Streptococcus to sulfamethoxazole mediated by a horizontally-acquired reduced folate transporter - MS and NMR data

open access: yes, 2022
Metabolic profiling of MH-Bm and MH-Ox media. The differences in the susceptibility of TB08-2-14 to SXT on MHF-Ox and MHF-Bm media suggest differences in the composition of MH media from these different suppliers.

In vivo kinetics of pyrrolidonecarboxylic acid formation in selected silkmoth chorion proteins.

open access: yesJournal of Biological Chemistry, 1981
The protein products from one of the two major silkmoth chorion multigene families contain blocked NH2 termini. The blocked residue has been identified as pyrrolidonecarboxylic acid. Its formation occurs post-translationally, by modification of NH2-terminal glutamine, after removal of a 20-residue-long "signal peptide." Pyrrolidonecarboxylic acid ...

Hog pancreatic α-amylase; N-terminal sequence analysis

open access: yes, 1979
Both isozymes of hog pancreatic amylase were digested with chymotrypsin, subtilisin and pronase. These digests were passed over a column of sulfoethyl-Sephadex C-25 and peptides not containing free NH2-groups thus isolated.

Gas Chromatographic Determination of Pyrrolidonecarboxylic Acid

open access: yesJournal of AOAC INTERNATIONAL, 1970
Abstract An analytical method is described for analysis of 2-pyrroIidone-5-carboxylic acid (PCA) in foods. PCA was extracted with ethyl acetate, using a modified Widmark extraction apparatus, and then silylated with trimethylchlorosilane and hexamethyldisilazane in the presence of pyridine.

Primary structure of a new cysteine proteinase inhibitor from pig leucocytes

open access: yes, 1989
The primary structure of a pig leucocyte cysteine proteinase inhibitor, also called cathelin, was determined. The sequence was obtained from analyses of peptides isolated from the chymotryptic, endoproteinase Lys-C and protease V8 digests, and by ...
