A natural biological molecule, plumbagin (PLB), suppresses hepatocellular carcinoma via cuproptosis. PLB treatment transcriptionally downregulates the primary hepatic copper exporter, ATP7B, thereby accumulating intracellular copper ions to trigger cuproptosis.
